Please inform me of any special needs or specific behavioral traits, such as - does not play well with little dogs, is afraid of skateboards (which, from personal experience, is a real thing), loves to play catch, etc. The more I know about your pup beforehand the more time we’ll have to devote to safe & individualized fun!
A typical day
Depending on breed, temperament and specific needs & preferences, I’ll plan a day/visit around the most enjoyable activities for your pup. Maybe your dog goes wild for a dog park session, or maybe long walks exploring the scents of a new neighborhood or park is more their thing - either way, I’ll tailor our activities to what’s best for your dog. As a native Berkeley resident I’m very familiar with with our local parks & trails (not to mention dog parks!), as well as many off the beaten routes perfect for exploring with your pooch. Many potential adventures waiting to be had!

Pet care experience
Since the age of 11 I was the trustworthy designated neighborhood pet sitter, which gave me a ton of experience caring for both dogs & cats (and the occasional turtle). My childhood dog was a rescue pit bull mix who had numerous behavioral problems when first adopted, & who required a large amount of behavioral work (although ultimately transforming into the biggest sweetie). That experience imparted me with a significant amount of behavioral training, and because of that I’m especially skilled with larger & potentially more headstrong dogs. (Although I still have love and the skills for the smaller of our furry friends as well!)

Ashley was wonderful and I would 100% rebook and recommend her. I have two dogs (one that is aggressive with other dogs and another one that is a goof) and she managed and understood both dogs behaviors and they loved her. Was very nervous to leave my dogs overnight for a few nights, but Ashley was very reassuring and sent me updates and pictures which made me feel much better.
Ashley was great! Oscar is a challenge and is afraid of everyone and everything. She was patient with him and eventually won him over. We highly recommend her and will definitely have her back!
Ashley was a wonderful sitter — a total pleasure to work with and ultra responsible! And my senior dog absolutely loved her. Rose isn’t the easiest dog so I really appreciated how well things went. I very much hope to hire her again.
Ashley went over and above being attentive and sympathetic to our dog Jack. It is true he is the cutest :) She gave him lots of exercise and lots of cuddles. This was the first time Jack has been left since we adopted him 9 months ago. Ashley has such a sympathetic manner, it would be hard for any pet to not like her. Jack was sad to see her go. Ashley was very responsible about the house, leaving everything very neat.
