Our Home is Your Dog's Home

Hello! I am a high school English teacher who loves animals. During the school year we cannot offer 24/7 supervision, but if your pup is used to being at home alone for the work day than they are welcome to do so in our home while you are away. Plus! They'll have Nox for company! We now have 3 young boys (5, 7, and 9), so they factor into the dogs we take into our home. Your dog must be good with kids. Our boys love dogs and will want to love on your pup. We always do a meet and greet to see how the dogs act with Nox and our boys. This is a must for us. Nox has been attacked more than once during a meet and greet and if that were to happen while we’re caring for your dog that would put all of us in a hard situation. Knowing how they get along (you can really tell a lot from that first introduction) will just give us both the peace of mind needed for us to build a good dog watching relationship. Why I love dog sitting I have also loved dogs. My earliest memories have Opus (my first dog - a Beagle) and I have always had a dog in my life. The few years I spent with out a dog (due to living in an apartment) were some of the loneliest I have had. When my husband and I began looking at houses it was mostly because we both couldn't go without a dog any longer. We looked for houses with a yard, specifically, because we knew we wanted a dog. We moved in to our home in the middle of May 2012 and by the beginning of July we had Nox! Meet my pets Nox is a bundle of love and cuddles. She gets along with every dog we have ever exposed her to. She's a lover, not a fighter and is ok with not being the "alpha dog" as long as she gets to play. About my yard We have a nice sized, fenced in, yard. Nox goes out there all the time. My experience administering medication I have gotten very comfortable with giving meds because we had a rough first year with Nox...medically speaking.

Tamba always has fun at Ashley’s and comes back tired every time from all of the playing and attention he gets. Her boys treat him as part of the family

Schedule

During the school year, my husband handle breakfast and potty time for Nox. She is then alone most of the day until I get home anywhere from 3:30-5:30. Then we do a potty break, treats, loving, dinner, and then bed. In the summer, I’m pretty much home all day.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks I like to take Nox to the Farm Park by my house, which is miles long with grass and trees and other people/pets to see. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Nox has her bedroom (her crate). Your dog will probably sleep in our bedroom with us, or in a crate if you provide one. It kind of turns into a slumber party - we're all in the one bedroom. Time I'll spend with your dog In the summer I will be with them all day! During the school year I will be with them most of the time - before and after school.
