I have two friendly dogs of my own to provide company. We are happy to continue your at home routines, whether that includes crating your dog or not. Our yard is not fenced, we use longlines and supervision when dogs are outside.

Information Ashley G. would like to know about your pet
I prefer that your dog is on bravecto or some other tick/flea preventative before staying with me. We do a lot of hiking and this preference is just for your pup’s well being! I have no breed preferences at all! I have experience from chihuahuas to bully breeds. I am happy to watch any type of dog, any size! I have experience with them all - especially fearful rescues and behaviourally challenged dogs! I am comfortable handling most dog aggressive and human aggressive dogs thanks to my years of experience working under a trainer at a boarding facility. I also have experience administering subcutaneous injections, oral medications and more. I have worked with dogs with little to no mobility such as paralyzed, disabled and dogs with degenerative myelopathy - this has given me experience expressing bladders and fitting dog harnesses/wheel chairs.
A typical day
I often go hiking with the dogs staying with me! I always hike dogs with a longline leash for safety (usually 10-35ft) so they can still get a good romp in. We also do walks around the neighbourhood and enjoy some hanging out and chill time as well.

Pet care experience
Hey there! My name is Ashley and I am a huge animal lover. I’ve had dogs and other animals (cats, guniea pigs, hamsters, reptiles, bunnies) my entire life, and even have worked in the dog daycare industry as well as volunteered in the dog rescue world. I have worked with many local dog rescues including fostering and some behavioural work, as well as reference checks. I have also been an adoption coordinator and held fundraisers for rescues in the GTA. I have worked for over three years in different daycare and boarding environments and have decided that I like the personal in-home touch better than a kennel. Having a dog feel at home while their owners are away is super important to me, it’s what I would want for my dogs if I were away! I cater to your style, dogs are allowed on furniture and in bed if that’s what they’re used to. However if you don’t want your pets on furniture; I am also happy to keep up any boundaries you maintain in your regular routine if that’s applicable to you. I have experience in many different styles of dog training and we can work together to make sure that your dog is in a routine that they would be in while you were home! I work 5 minutes from home and often take an hour lunch break to come home and walk the dogs. For safety, no dogs (that are not from the same family and allowed to stay together) will be kept together unsupervised. A segregated spot in the house will be made for my own dogs and your dog(s) so they can have their own space if I am at work.
Reviews
Ashley was awesome with our dog Roxy. She house sat for us for the week we were away and was so helpful if anything came up. Our pup was in great hands and we received tons of updates on how she’s doing. I would ask Ashley back again 100%!

Ashley was absolutely amazing! Very easy to communicate with, responded quickly and is extremely friendly. Our dog is family like most, and she was very comfortable, relaxed and came home to a very happy dog! During our vacation ashley kept is informed and send pictures. Our pup got to go on walks, fun parks and played with other dogs. We would highly recommend Ashley and will be happy to book her again!
Ashley looked after Bentley (our almost 3-month-old pup) for a night and a day. She was great! It was Bentley's first time for dog-boarding and she made the stay really easy for both myself and my dog. She didn't mind me asking her never-ending questions and made it a point to send us pictures of Bentley periodically throughout the stay. Ashley is very friendly and it is very clear that she loves her own dogs and cares for others as her own. I would definitely recommend her to other dog owners, especially first-time dog owners as I know that if I ever have to leave Bentley at a sitter for next time, I'd definitely use her again :)

My cocker spaniel, Benzy, felt right at home with Ashley because of her welcoming attitude. Benzy also appreciated his everyday walks.
