Daily I am taking care of or helping take care of 12 pets. There is a breakfast schedule, and than everyone's dinner at night. However I do free feeding so there is always dry food out for all our indoor pets. Cleaning of cages, water bottles/bowls, food plates/bowls, litterboxes, climbing trees, and tunnels happen daily/weekly along with grooming needs when required. During warming weather we do lots of outside play and more walks then of course during the colder months. Homemade animal treats are something I like to make and give out but I also do store bought healthy treats along with tons of toys to keep minds busy and active. And no matter what every holiday we as humans exchange gifts, the animals get gifts too lol

Currently we have 5 female guinea pigs that are all in an enclosure in my sons room where its up on a high table and the bedroom door stays closed and then 6 completely indoor only cats, all nuetered chipped, and UTD on shots and 1 indoor/outdoor cat that adopted my family when he was left behind by his family/owners. All 7 cats roam the house freely except going into my 2 sons rooms (one being the room with the guinea pigs and the other being a room that has too many electronics and stuff for them to hurt themselves on). My kids all love animals as well and we are teaching my 2 new grandbabies how to care for and treat and love animals as they grow up around them. My kids will sometimes help take care of animals with me.

Information Ashley E. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know of any special needs, special training the pet are currently learning or special training I may need to know about to be able to give them commands in order to not confuse them, and diet restrictions or requirements that may be important to know for proper caring of your pet. If they are allowed on furniture, sleep in bed with their owner, use a kennel, and how they do around small caged animals and cats. If they have been around young children under the age of 5? How they do off leash or if they are even allowed off leash outside? Do they have good recall? How are they around other dogs? Do they show any food aggression? Do they chase birds or squirrels when outside? Bark at the door being knocked on? Anything like that would be helpful
A typical day
Lots of loves and attention. I love giving belly rubs and at night I give pup massages if they allow me to to help them sleep better. Walks and potty breaks happen every 2-4 hours. I try to do every 2 hours just so they get lots of air and walking and don't feel so cooped up but so also there isn't any accidents, though I do have hardwood floors so it makes it easy for clean up. I usually make sure its ok with the owner but sometimes forget to check about me being okay to offer chew bones like bully sticks or stew bones and then I always have treats and toys. I offer unsalted boiled fresh chicken too if owners are ok with it. Or to add to their normal food. And I do make pet appropriate homemade treats

Pets are family too!
Pet care experience
I've had family pets since I was about 6 years old. I've also had pets that were just mine to take care of. I've been around dogs, cats, reptiles, furry friends, birds, fish, everything from indoor to outdoor and from extreamely domesticated to still exotic. I love animals and believe that they should be treated just like any other family member. I believe pets are a product of their environment and how they are trained, I don't believe in cages or kennels, I think animals should be able to free feed if they are full they will know and stop eating, I think animals abuse and neglect is wrong on every level and I believe that every life has value and should always be considered for a second chance. Animals only want to share their love with us and want love and safe protection from us in return. I also want to be a bridge somehow in my elder years in helping people I come across with the knowledge I've gained with working with animals for so long in guiding them in the right direction with training or behavior issues or where to go for help and resources, though I feel that there should be more our communities and representatives could be doing in this area.

Ashley took great care of my dog, Sam. She was very communicative and Sam had a lot of fun playing with Ashley's puppies.

Ashley did a great job with our last minute request! Asha loved her family and all of the love and attention.

Our dog had an amazing time staying with Ashley while we were on vacation. She welcomed our dog in her house with her cats and she treated our dog like she were her own. The care and attention she gave were great!

Wow. Can’t say enough about Ashley and her care for our cat while we were out of town for an extended period of time. It was not a normal stay, as we had more than just pet care occurring at our home due to weather/power issues. Ashley made us feel relaxed and our cat feel safe without power for multiple days, going above and beyond any normal cat sitting expectations. Highly recommend Ashley!!
