Your pup treated like family

Hi, we're Ash and Mike! In our house, dogs are considered part of the family, and yours will be treated like one of our own. We've lived with and loved dogs for many years, so we know what it's like to leave your pup with someone else, and how much it means when they're in good hands. We're comfortable with all kinds of dogs: playful puppies, high-energy dogs, smart pups who need a job to do, anxious dogs who need patience and reassurance, and seniors who need a little extra support. We're also experienced with more involved medical care, including eye drops, insulin injections, oral medications, and help with incontinence. Our schedule is flexible. Ash works from home full-time over the summer and is only out a couple of afternoons a week during the school year, and Mike is home two days a week and is hands-on with the dogs too, so your pup will have steady company throughout the day. We have a fenced yard for safe outdoor time and potty breaks, and Ash runs regularly and is happy to take dogs out for exercise when appropriate. We’re equally happy to provide walks, playtime, snuggles, and always have a calm home environment to meet your dog’s needs. One note: with two young kids at home (ages 4 and 6), we can only host dogs who are comfortable around children.

Ash and her amazing family took such good care of my toy poodle for six days. He truly was a part of their family. He will definitely be back to camp Ash and I can’t recommend them enough.

Ash and her Husband, Mike, and their two beautiful children were a great match for our dog for the week we had to find boarding. They communicated very well. They were very sweet and truly loved our dog. It is always reassuring when the hosts love our dog just as much as we do! If I could give 10 stars I would. We are very grateful for them and will surely use their services again.

Waffles and Dobby had a great time and had amazing care. Ashley, Mike, and the Kids treated our pups like family. This was Dobby’s first time away from us and they did great with him. Waffles and Dobby got lots of play time and lots of love. They sent plenty of photos and gave updates a couple times a day. Will definitely be using them next time we need a sitter.

Ash is clearly deeply attuned to dogs. She has taken care of two of my dogs now - my Boxer Lily, who we lost last year, and now my Boxer puppy, Mira. Ash is like a second mother. My dog is my child and I trust her implicitly.

Ash has cared for our two dogs for over 10 years, and we trust her completely with them. She has helped with everything from daily walks to extended dog sitting while we were out of town, and she has always been dependable, attentive, and incredibly caring. Our dogs have had a variety of medical needs over the years, and Ash has consistently followed detailed care instructions carefully and responsibly. One of our dogs, an Italian Greyhound, broke his leg and required extra support after his cast was removed. Ash was extremely patient and cautious with him during his recovery, carrying him up and down stairs and outside for bathroom breaks to make sure he stayed safe and comfortable. She has also helped care for our lizards while we were away, including feeding them, spraying their enclosures, and checking their enclosure condition. It gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing she paid close attention to those details as well. She genuinely treats our pets like family, and we always feel comfortable leaving them in her care. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, detail-oriented, and reliable pet sitter.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into our days. Ash works from home full-time over the summer and is only out a couple of afternoons a week during the school year, so your dog won't be left alone for long stretches. Mike is hands-on with the dogs too. Between us, your pup will have steady company, regular walks, playtime, and a calm house to settle into. Ash runs and walks regularly and loves to bring visiting dogs out with her.

Safety, trust & environment

We treat every dog like part of the family while they're here. Being away from home can be stressful for a pet, so we focus on a calm, safe, loving environment with lots of attention, affection, and supervision. Between Ash and Mike, there's almost always someone around, so your dog won't be left alone for long. Dogs are welcome to relax with us, get plenty of snuggles, and head outside often for potty breaks and fresh air. We have a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time and play. We pay close attention to each dog's routine, personality, and comfort level, whether they're energetic and playful or happier in a quieter setting. We're glad to follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, walk routines, and any other care preferences you share. Our goal is for your dog to feel safe, cared for, and as at-home as possible while you're away.

A typical day

There's plenty to do, tailored to your dog. We'll throw the ball, a toy, or a stick around the fenced yard, play indoors, and snuggle up on the couch. For dogs who want more activity, we're glad to head out for walks at whatever pace and distance suits them, and Ash runs regularly and is happy to bring active dogs along.

Because we have young kids and sometimes other dogs in the home, your pup will need to be comfortable around children and friendly with other dogs. We're very comfortable with complex medical needs. We can give injections, eye drops, and oral medications, and we have experience managing diabetes, so just let us know what your dog needs.
