Hi! I’m Ashley, a lifelong animal lover with over 7 years of professional animal welfare and rescue experience. Cats are a huge part of my life, but I also have experience caring for dogs and understand how to read their body language, recognize stress signals, and take things slowly when earning their trust. My experience includes working in animal sheltering and adoption, managing cat/dog care, fostering, TNR, socializing shy and fearful cats, caring for kittens and puppies, and working with cats/dogs with medical and special needs. I’m also the founder of a nonprofit cat rescue and TNR organization, so I’ve cared for just about every type of feline personality, from the confident attention-seeker to the spicy kitty who would prefer I admire them from across the room. What sets me apart is my ability to read animals and meet them where they are. I understand feline and canine body language, stress signals, enrichment, medication routines, and the importance of keeping each pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible while their person is away. Whether I’m caring for a cat or dog, I always move at their pace and never force interaction. During visits, I’ll make sure your pets have fresh food and water, a clean litter box or potty break, and plenty of attention based on their comfort level. For social pets, that can mean playtime, walks, pets, brushing, treats, and lots of conversation. For shy or anxious pets, I’m happy to sit quietly and give them time to decide when they’re ready to interact. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and compassionate. I know how stressful it can be to leave your pets in someone else’s care, and I want you to feel confident that they’re being cared for by someone who will notice the little things. And yes, you can absolutely expect updates and plenty of photos while you’re away!
