Hi! I’m Ashley, a lifelong animal lover with over 11 years of professional animal welfare and rescue experience. Cats are a huge part of my life, but I also have experience caring for dogs and understand how to read their body language, recognize stress, and earn their trust. My background includes animal sheltering and adoption, fostering, TNR, socializing shy and fearful animals, caring for kittens and puppies, and working with pets with medical and special needs. I’m also the founder of a nonprofit cat rescue and TNR organization, so I’ve cared for just about every feline personality, from confident attention-seekers to spicy kitties who prefer their space. I’m experienced with feline and canine body language, medication routines, enrichment, and keeping pets as close to their normal routine as possible. I always move at their pace and never force interaction. During visits, I’ll provide fresh food and water, litter box care or potty breaks, and plenty of attention based on your pet’s comfort level. That may include playtime, walks, pets, brushing, treats, or simply sitting quietly with a shy pet. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and compassionate, and I pay attention to the little things. You can also expect plenty of updates and photos while you’re away!

I care for pets in their own homes by keeping their routine as familiar and consistent as possible. I follow all instructions carefully, keep food and water areas clean, secure doors and gates, and make sure the home is safely locked after each visit. I understand both cat and dog body language, so I approach each pet calmly, move at their pace, and never force interaction. I take time to build trust, especially with pets who are shy, nervous, or adjusting to someone new. I also provide updates and photos so clients can feel confident that their pets and home are safe and well cared for.

I have known Ashley for several years, and she has watched my cats, Stevie and Keanu, on numerous occasions. Ashley is extremely reliable and follows the instructions I leave for my cats. Keanu is generally timid with people he doesn’t see often, except with Ashley! He never hides from her when she is here to care for them. Stevie of course is always happy she is receiving her treats on her normal schedule. I always have complete peace of mind knowing my cats are safe, happy, and well-cared for. Ashley has also spent years working for/with shelter animals and cats in rescues. She has a vast amount of knowledge and experience on caring for animals. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. As the founder of a cat rescue and TNR organization, I care for cats every day while also working remotely, which gives me flexibility when scheduling visits. I’m dependable, organized, and comfortable following each pet’s normal feeding, medication, playtime, and care routine.
