Hi! I’m Ashley, the owner and head trainer at Ashley’s K9 Training. Dogs are truly my life and passion. I run a home-based training and boarding small business on our property in Bertram, Texas. I specialize in behavior modification, obedience, puppy development, and service dog training, so caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs is something I do every single day. Dogs staying with me aren’t just kenneled and rotated like traditional boarding facilities. They’re part of a home environment where they receive enrichment, outdoor time, supervised safe play (when appropriate), and plenty of attention throughout the day. I focus heavily on safe, calm energy and good manners so dogs feel comfortable, relaxed, and happy while they’re here. I’ve worked with everything from young puppies to reactive dogs, high-drive working breeds, and service dog prospects. Because of my training background, I’m also very comfortable managing dogs that need a little extra structure or guidance. Outside of training/boarding, I’m a mom to a sweet little girl and we’re a big animal loving family. Our home is full of Australian Shepherds, foster dogs, horses, and plenty of time spent outside. We spend most of our days outdoors with the animals playing in the yard and soaking up fresh air. Animals have always been a huge part of our lives, and we love welcoming new dogs into our home. My goal is always to provide a safe, structured, and loving environment where your dog can feel right at home. I’d love to meet your pup! 🐾

Ashley was a dream to work with. She was so accommodating and patient when I needed a sitter last minute for my pups. She reassured me when I was nervous about one of my dogs who is anxious and scared. And then while I was away, she sent pictures and updates and both dogs looked happy and safe! She even treated my nervous baby with extra love and helped her learn to walk on hard floors (something I never thought would happen!) and even clipped her nails, which is nearly impossible. I did not worry while I was away, and that is the best kind of vacation I could ask for!

Schedule
I own a full service dog training small business that offers play days, day training, boarding, board and training, private one-on-one training sessions. Pet care fits into my schedule perfectly as it is my full time job.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Pets are under 24 hr supervision. The property is completely fenced. Dogs will receive proper mental and physical exercise throughout the day (based on their breed, age, energy level, etc.). I do crate all dogs for decompression time throughout the day and for sleeping time. Dogs will be allowed to socialize and play with other animals on the property unless otherwise specified or showing reactivity or aggression. We will sent pics/videos if requested during their stay with us.

Some of the activities we do during boarding and day care are proper and safe socializing/play with other dogs, swimming, training sessions, puzzles and other mentally stimulating games and exercises, agility, relaxing inside and so much more!!
