Work From Home Pup Seeking Friends!

My husband and I and our little pup moved to Leadville awhile back and are looking to continue our Denver pet sitting business here! We work as a team to care for pets. I provide most of the care and when I need a helping hand, he is more than happy to pitch in! Just before our move, we adopted our dog Lokillo or Loki for short. He is a certified mutt, ~1/4 pit bull, 1/4 chihuahua and 100% adorable and sweet. Our best guess is Loki is about 2 years old now. He has yet to meet a dog he doesn't love. He often goes to Grateful Paws here in town and his last report card stated he was the life of the party and his favorite friends to play with were EVERYONE! He absolutely loves having new pup friends around. We have a fenced in back yard, pets are allowed on the couches, and even in bed with us if that's what they are used to. Loki likes his big comfy donut bed on the floor at night, so there's room! I just found a job here in Leadville and work in town. I work from home about 2 days a week and I'm able to come back over lunch time to check in. We have a nice set up with 2 doggy doors going to separate fenced off parts of the yard if we need to keep some pups separate while we're gone. We have a limit of 3 dogs that we accept at one time, so 3 + Loki! Please let me know if your dog does not get along with other dogs so we can make arrangements! I hope my family gets the chance to meet yours!

We received lots of pictures and it looked like our dog had a great time! We’ll definitely use Ashley again!

Doggy Day Care • Aug 25, 2025

Our son had a mountain bike race in Leadville last weekend, and the venue didn't allow dogs. So, Ashley let Riley hang out at her place and play with Loki all day long. At the end of the day, Riley was happy, tired, and still able to hang out at camp with us in the evening. Thanks, Ashley!

Ashley was super kind and accommodating for our higher maintenance dogs. She was patient and good with our puppy who is still learning how to be with other dogs. Definitely recommended!

Ashley and Alex were amazing. Very communicative and kindly allowed us to visit their home ahead of our pup’s stay so we could be sure he was comfortable. I was completely out of service for 24 hours and my husband was out of the country so I needed someone I felt super comfortable with as we weren’t able to be reached in case of an emergency. Ashley dropped our pup off at his normal dog daycare facility on Monday and they said they expected him to be anxious since I’d been away, but he was relaxed and happy! I will definitely return - so thankful to have a reliable sitter in Leadville!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

Right now, I work 2 days per week from home. My work is also usually very flexible, so I can work around most schedules. There may be times however where the stars align in the sense that I must be in the office or out in the field and my husband also has to work, so our puppers need to be okay with perhaps home alone during the workday with a check in over lunch time. I will let you know that during the meet and greet and see if we can work something out. My husband and I work as a team. If I'm unavailable for a meet and greet, pick up/drop off, etc. and my husband is able to fill in the gaps!

Safety, trust & environment

We try to make our home environment as close as possible to what your pet is used to. We all know it can be stressful for pets being in a new space or having a new person enter their space. We work hard to keep their habits and routines the same. If your pet is used to being on furniture or sleeping in beds, our goal is to accommodate that to the best of our abilities and not force any drastic changes on a dog that already may be a little nervous. We strive to identify their needs and meet them as soon as possible whether that be a walk, play, food, or especially cuddles!

Pets

A typical day

I love knowing the personality of each dog to make sure we are providing them with activities they love. Do they like all the smells? We'll find a nice trail to walk along. Do they love fetching toys? We'll spend quality time in the yard playing. Do they love some good cuddles? I'll keep them snuggled up on my lap throughout the day.

As I mentioned before I like to get tips and tricks on each pet's personality and unique needs. I am such an animal lover that I do not have any breed preference, just a preference on getting to know your pet the best I can. Here are a few things I will ask during a meet and greet: -Feeding schedule -Potty schedule -Where they sleep -Kennel training -Tricks -Anything unique
