Vicarious pet mom
Dogs make me the happiest. Especially tiny ones. I have voluntarily done a ton of pro bono dog sitting for friends over the years because I just genuinely enjoy it. (Highlights include my friend’s chihuahua Carl who I watched for over two weeks while his mom traveled in Japan.) I take my duties very seriously and make sure they get lots of quality time, activity, and love. I can’t have a dog of my own right now, so ‘sitting is the next best thing. I truly feel better just when a dog is around – all the more so when I get to give them attention and care. Fave breeds include but are not limited to: chihuahuas, dachshunds, shiba inus, Italian greyhounds, jack russells, boston terriers, rat terriers, blue heelers, and mutts. :)

I’m a rule follower when it comes to other peoples’ babies, so whatever the training is at your place works for me. One of my friends I sat for said I took the job TOO seriously, haha.
Ratings and reviews
Ashley is a pet sitter that handles with care. My senior dog Jack has a lot of rules we follow for his safety during his walks, and we trust her to follow them to a T. He loves seeing her and I know he is in great hands. She also has pretty flexible availability, which has helped us greatly as we usually need a dog walker last minute.

Schedule
I work full time but I’m remote. I’m flexible most days depending on my meeting schedule, so I can make a lot of different times work. (I can also work from my laptop wherever there is good wifi!) I’m new to NYC so getting out and meeting new faces (both animal and human) is great for me right now.

- Must know if they don’t like to be touched, snuggled, held, etc. My nature is to pick them up / do all of those things, but won’t if that’s not what they like!
