Ashley was overall a pleasant and kind sitter; however, I did have a few concerns regarding my experience. Firstly, during a snowstorm, she drove my dogs approximately an hour out of town due to a personal emergency. While I completely understand that emergencies can arise, I would have appreciated being informed or asked for permission beforehand, as this involved a significant change in location and potential risk. Additionally, as this was my first time leaving my dogs in her care, I had requested more frequent updates for reassurance. Unfortunately, updates were inconsistent, and at times limited to only one message throughout the day, which left me feeling uneasy. I also prefer that my dogs are not around unfamiliar individuals. I later learned that there were other people present in the home during their stay, which had not been communicated to me in advance. There were also some communication challenges. When I asked specific questions—such as whether my dogs had gone to the bathroom—I often had to follow up multiple times to receive a response. Phone calls were not answered, and replies would sometimes come hours later or the following day. Lastly, I had provided detailed feeding instructions for my younger dog, as he is still growing and requires proper meals. It did not seem that these instructions were consistently followed, and at times he was given treats in place of a full meal, which was concerning. Overall, while Ashley was kind, this experience did not fully meet my expectations, and I would likely not choose to book with her again.

We feel very comfortable with leaving Milo at Ashley’s and he seems very content when we drop him off.

Ashley is amazing! My dogs loved going to her daycare so much they would wait by the door when it was time to go, and her insights about their behavior have been incredibly helpful.
