Bark for Life Pet Care

What sets me apart is the combination of professionalism and genuine love I bring to every dog in my care. As a sitter and business owner, I provide reliable, structured care—while treating your dog with the same patience, attention, and affection I give my own. I know how hard it is to leave your pet, so I focus on making both you and your dog feel comfortable, safe, and cared for every step of the way. I have experience with dogs of all ages, including puppies, high-energy dogs, and those who need a little extra patience or routine. My goal is simple: your dog is happy, well cared for, and you have complete peace of mind while you’re away. ❤️

I've never used Rover before but when I needed a last minute sitter, Ashley was super responsive and willing to take in my pups on short notice. I wasn't sure how my pups would behave because I haven't used many sitters in the past, and Ashley was very good about acclimating my pups to her dogs and the new environment. Her picture updates were great, and when my husband and son picked up our pups, they noted how attached to Ashley they were. She created a pack environment within a very short time. We would definitely book Ashley again.

Schedule

Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. As a stay-at-home mom and business owner, my days are already structured around caring for dogs—both my own and the ones I watch. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent attention, supervision, and care. From morning routines to evening wind-downs, I make sure each pet’s needs—feeding, exercise, and companionship—are built into my day. I’m very comfortable managing multiple dogs at once while still giving each one individual attention. Your pet won’t be an afterthought—they’ll be part of a calm, well-run routine where they feel safe, cared for, and included.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. My home is set up to be a calm, dog-friendly space with areas for rest, play, and routine. I keep a structured environment so dogs know what to expect, which helps them feel secure and relaxed. I follow each dog’s normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding, exercise, and any specific routines they’re used to. Dogs in my care receive regular outdoor time, supervised play, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m experienced in managing multiple dogs safely, and all interactions are closely supervised to ensure a positive environment for everyone. I’m also comfortable administering medications and keeping a close eye on each dog’s health and behavior. Above all, I provide a steady, low-stress environment where your dog is treated with patience, structure, and genuine care.

A typical day

A typical day in my care is structured, active, and balanced with plenty of attention and downtime. Mornings start with potty breaks, feeding, and some light play to get everyone settled into the day. From there, we move into walks, outdoor time, or play in the yard—depending on each dog’s energy level and needs. Throughout the day, I mix in interactive play, enrichment toys, and short moments of structure to keep dogs both mentally and physically engaged. I also make sure there’s plenty of supervision and calm time so dogs don’t feel overstimulated. In the evenings, things slow down with more relaxed time, cuddles, and settling in for the night. Every dog is different, so I adjust the day to fit their personality—whether they’re high-energy and playful or more laid-back and just want to feel safe and comfortable.

To give your pet the best care possible, I like to learn as much as I can ahead of time. Please let me know about your dog’s personality, routine, and any behaviors I should be aware of—such as anxiety, reactivity, or anything that might affect their comfort or safety. I’ll also need details on feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any medical conditions or medications. If your dog has specific habits, triggers, or routines that help them feel secure, I’m happy to follow those closely. It’s also helpful to know how your dog does with other dogs and new people, along with any commands or training you use at home. Lastly, please provide your veterinarian’s information and an emergency contact, just in case. The more I know, the better I can make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
