Hi! My name is Ashley Berndt, I am 24 years old. Animals have always been apart of my life and a huge passion of mine. I’ve provided lifelong, hands-on care for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, a rabbit, fish, amphibians and reptiles. I raised my chihuahua from puppyhood through her senior years and have experience with daily routines, exercise, enrichment, and age-specific care. I’m also comfortable with specialized needs, including administering vet-prescribed medication and providing supportive care for sick or recovering pets. Caring for species like white tree frogs and bearded dragons has made me especially attentive, detail-oriented, and consistent with instructions. Pet parents can count on me to be calm, reliable, and communicative. I create a safe, low-stress environment, follow routines closely, and provide regular photo and message updates so you can be at ease while you’re away. I treat every pet with the same care and responsibility as my own.

Ashley was amazing! Both my pups were happy, comfortable, and very well cared for. She was patient, accommodating, and kept me updated, which meant a lot, especially while traveling. Ashely is amazing , didn't know my Husky had seperation anxiety and this was the first time leaving her this long.. I would use Ashley again .. Now I know we cant leave her that again..
We were visiting Tacoma for the marathon. Unfortunately, the Airbnb was not pet friendly. Ashley was super accommodating to our late drop off and early pick up. She took good care of Dosho and was very communicative. Her location is also very central and close to the freeway, which made things very convenient. I would certainly recommend Ashley and use her help again.
This was the first time I left my dogs with someone other than family. I was happy to find Ashley, she did a great job taking care of my 2 dogs. She has a clean, organized home . It gave warm vibes. The dogs felt at home and has a big yard for the fur babies. She kept in contact with me. Sent updates and pictures. I will use her again. Highly recommend Ashley

Schedule
I have a flexible schedule and I am available most days for morning, midday, and evening visits. I keep my calendar updated and plan my schedule carefully to ensure each pet receives consistent, reliable care and attention.

Your pet’s safety always comes first. I follow their routine closely and provide calm, attentive care so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m experienced with medications, special instructions, and monitoring behavior or health changes. I keep spaces clean, doors and leashes/harnesses secure, and pets supervised at all times. I send regular updates and photos so you always know your pet is safe, happy and having a blast!
A typical day
I love to keep your dogs minds stimulated by going on walks whether that be in my neighborhood, on a hike, beach, or a dog park 🐾 I’ll give treats upon approval of pet parent(s).
