I'm currently waiting for my APRN license to be finalized before starting my new position, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits. This flexibility allows me to provide consistent care, spend quality time with your pet, and adjust to their normal routine as much as possible. Whether your pet needs a quick drop-in, a long walk, or extra attention while you're away, I'm happy to help!

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with the same respect I would my own and do my best to maintain your pet's normal schedule. I'll carefully follow any feeding, medication, exercise, or household instructions you provide and will always make sure your pet has fresh water, a safe environment, and plenty of attention. I understand that every pet is different. Some love long walks and playtime, while others prefer quiet companionship. I take the time to get to know each pet's personality and tailor my care to their individual needs. Communication is also important to me. I'll send regular updates and photos so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. As a registered nurse, I'm naturally detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable caring for pets with special medical needs, including administering medications when needed.

Information Ashley A. would like to know about your pet

I love learning about each pet before our first visit so I can provide the best care possible. Please let me know about your pet's personality, daily routine, favorite activities, any fears or anxieties, medical conditions, medications, dietary restrictions, and any quirks that make them unique. For dogs, I'd also love to know their leash manners, energy level, and how they interact with other people and animals. For cats, it's helpful to know their favorite hiding spots, toys, and whether they enjoy affection or prefer their space. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can make your pet feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible and make your time away as stress-free as I can.

A typical day

Every pet has their own personality, so I like to tailor each visit to what they enjoy most. I personally love being active and live right next to a beautiful bike trail, so if your dog enjoys getting outside, I'd be thrilled to take them on long walks or runs that match their fitness level. I've run multiple marathons, so I have plenty of energy—but don't worry, I promise I won't be training your dog for one! Whether your pup prefers a leisurely sniff-filled stroll or a more active outing, I'm happy to match their pace. For more laid-back or senior pets, I'm just as happy to take a slower walk, spend time giving belly rubs, or simply keep them company. For cats, I enjoy interactive play with toys, brushing (if they like it!), and giving them space to come to me at their own pace. Whether your pet is outgoing or a little shy, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Every visit also includes the essentials—fresh food and water, potty breaks or litter box cleaning, medication if needed, and plenty of affection. I'll send lots of photo updates so you can see your pet having a great time and have peace of mind while you're away.

Registered Nurse and Dog Lover!

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm Ashley, a registered nurse and recent graduate of a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. While I'm waiting for my APRN license to be finalized, I have a flexible schedule and would love to spend that time caring for your pets. I've lived with dogs my entire life and have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with medication needs. As a registered nurse, I bring an extra level of attentiveness, reliability, and comfort with administering medications if needed. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, a run, playtime at the park, or simply lots of cuddles and companionship, I'm happy to tailor my care to their personality and routine. I'm responsible, active, and genuinely love being around animals. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. My goal is to treat every dog as if they were my own and make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and cared for every step of the way. I truly miss having a dog around every day, and I'd be honored to spend time with yours. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member!

Amazing! Dolly our golden doodle puppy loved her — and Dolly had to take some medicine during the visits which Ashley gave her so well. Thanks so much! 🦮💕

Ashely has been very reliable showing up on time and is engaged with my puppy. I’m working from home because of coronavirus and I still had Ashley take Loki for a walk. As I handed her the leash and dog I heard her engage Loki as they walked away. That was nice
