Before joining Rover, I spent two years working in a boarding facility where I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and needs. I also volunteered at animal shelters, helping pets build social skills so they had a better chance at finding loving homes. I’ve now been pet sitting through Rover for the past two years, and it’s been an amazing experience building trust with both pets and their owners. At home, I have a large fenced-in yard and a spacious house, giving dogs plenty of room to play, relax, and feel comfortable. My schedule allows me to be very present. I work just 8 minutes from home in short shifts (8–11 AM and 12–3 PM), with a break in between where I come home, and then I’m home for the rest of the day. That means your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches and will get consistent attention throughout the day. I also have a 2-year-old who has been taught gentle, respectful interactions with animals, so safety is always a priority. We have two cats as well.. they’re very laid-back old ladies and typically keep to themselves, so they won’t bother visiting pets. !! I provide a calm, structured, and loving environment where your pet will be treated like family.

Ashley did a great job caring for my pets. She was on time for each visit and communicated throughout the long weekend. I especially enjoyed the pictures she sent so I could see for myself that everyone was doing great and having fun. I would highly recommend her!!
Took very good care of Eid our 2 cats while we went out of town for Christmas. Will definitely choose her again to watch them!
She as so amazing with our dogs!! We loved having her! Callie is usually shy around new people but she seemed to feel super comfortable around ashley! I would 100% recommended her!

As a pet sitter, my daily or weekly routine revolves around providing exceptional care and attention to the pets I look after. I have open availability, I can dedicate ample time to ensure the well-being of the pets in my care. In the mornings, I would start by feeding them and ensuring they have fresh water. Throughout the day, I would engage them in playtime, exercise, and give them lots of love and affection. I understand the importance of regular walks for dogs, so I would make sure they get their daily exercise. I also recognize the importance of maintaining a clean and safe environment for the pets, so I would routinely clean their living areas, litter boxes (if applicable), and provide any necessary grooming or hygiene needs. Additionally, I would be available to administer any required medication or follow specific dietary instructions as per the pet owner's instructions. I believe in open communication, so I would update the pet owners regularly on their furry friend's well-being and send them pictures or videos to keep them informed and reassured. Overall, pet care would be an integral part of my daily routine. I am dedicated to ensuring the happiness and well-being of the pets I look after, and with my open availability, I can provide them with the love, attention, and care they deserve.

I would make sure to use inside or outdoor areas like balconies and designated pet areas. I would give the pets lots of love, attention, and playtime to make them feel secure and well-cared for. Inside my home, I would create specific sleeping, eating, and playing areas with comfortable bedding, appropriate food and water dishes, and engaging toys. Regular exercise and outdoor time would be part of their daily routine, either with walks around the complex or visits to pet-friendly places nearby. I would keep everything clean and tidy, clean up any messes, provide fresh water, and make sure the pets are happy and stimulated. I would also communicate with the pet owners and give them regular updates to ensure their peace of mind.

Keep them entertained and happy. Some of these activities may include playing fetch with their favorite toys, going for walks or hikes in the park, teaching them new tricks or commands, and providing them with interactive puzzle toys to stimulate their minds. I would also spend quality time cuddling and giving them lots of love and attention.
