Before joining Rover, I spent two years working in a boarding facility where I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and needs. I also volunteered at animal shelters, helping pets build social skills so they had a better chance at finding loving homes. I’ve now been pet sitting through Rover for the past two years, and it’s been an amazing experience building trust with both pets and their owners. At home, I have a large fenced-in yard and a spacious house, giving dogs plenty of room to play, relax, and feel comfortable. My schedule allows me to be very present. I work just 8 minutes from home in short shifts (8–11 AM and 12–3 PM), with a break in between where I come home, and then I’m home for the rest of the day. That means your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches and will get consistent attention throughout the day. I also have a 2-year-old who has been taught gentle, respectful interactions with animals, so safety is always a priority. We have two cats as well.. they’re very laid-back old ladies and typically keep to themselves, so they won’t bother visiting pets. !!
