Family farm welcomes all critters!
I’ve taken care of just about every domesticated animal there is from dogs and cats to horses and cows. I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked in various vet clinics as well and have plenty of experience with administering medications including via injections. In our current home, we have a dog and a cat who love all creatures big and small and on our farm we have cows, pigs, chickens and turkeys.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Piper had the best stay! Ashley and her family treated her with so much love and sent us daily updates and photos, which made it easy to see how happy she was. She had a blast on their farm enjoying the fresh air, playing fetch, and exploring all the new smells. She also felt right at home with Ashley’s kids and dog, Murphy. We’re so grateful they made Piper part of the family and would absolutely book with them again!
Ashley welcomed our recently adopted adult dog into her home for a four night stay. She is extremely experienced and knew how to introduce our dog to hers and visiting dog for a smooth visit. Ashley provided timely updates on how the visit was going. When our dog created an incident with a visiting dog, Ashley immediately took action using appropriate handling techniques to get our dog under control. We are so grateful for the expert care Ashley provided and the safe, dog friendly home she provides.
My dog absolutely loved staying with Ashley! She treated him like family 💗 We will book her for any future needs.

Halo had so much fun at ‘Camp Ashley’s’. She was very excited to tell us all about the farm and how much Ashley and her family showed her so much love. If you are in Northern Michigan and want your furry friend to have a wonderful experience of life on the farm we highly recommend Ashley!

Schedule
I work full time, mainly from home. We are a busy family of 5 which includes my husband, Jeff, and our three kiddos Annabelle, Koen and Teagan. While I would be the one taking care of your pup, they would all certainly play and give snuggles to your pup as well. Most of our busyness revolves around our farm and caring for it so there’s plenty of time for daily walks, playtime, snuggles and anything else your critter may need. If it’s dog care you’re after your pup will also get the benefit of experiencing farm life while they’re here. Don’t worry though, we have a fenced in yard for those dogs who would rather avoid the farm life and we would always keep your pup on a leash near the farm animals. Most dogs who have stayed with us absolutely love it and those who are less keen on the farm life love being able to see if from the backyard or be carried around the farm like the prince or princess they are. ☺️

We have a completely fenced in backyard that’s large enough to play fetch and run around. Our farm is located across our 70 acres, 40 of which is fenced as well. Our home is 4 bedrooms and we have a dog/cat feeding area in our kitchen area and another cat feeding area in our basement.

A typical day
I consider myself pretty active so my days usually start at 5am with a workout. Your pup is welcome to join me as it takes place either in our basement depending on weather and temperatures or outside on our farm with a brisk 45 minute walk. From there, it will depend on the day but it could be anything from hanging out and doing things around the house to a car ride over to Aspen Park (local area with walking trails we often go to), going to a lake or picking up/dropping off kiddos. I usually take another walk around lunch time and again the evening as long as the weather cooperates. Fetch and play throughout the day is a given as is lounging if that’s what the pup so prefers (I know our old lab sure does!).

- Please feel free to share any information about your critter! We do have two sets of stairs within the house and 4 steps leading up the house so if your pup has any mobility issues I would really like to know ahead of time.
