Hi, I’m Ashleigh! I’m a lifelong dog lover based in Northeastern Connecticut. My two chocolate Labrador Retrievers are truly part of my family, and they’ve been by my side for the past 10 years. Growing up with family pets and later becoming a dog owner myself has given me years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. Before having children, I spent five years fostering dogs and puppies through Wings of Freedom Dog Rescue. During that time, I welcomed many dogs into my home, helping them adjust to new environments while providing the love, patience, and care they needed before finding their forever families. I understand that every dog is unique, and I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, routine, and needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply wants companionship and cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member because I expect the same level of care for my own dogs. I’ll treat your pet like one of my own and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. "Ashleigh was absolutely wonderful with my English bulldog! Bulldogs need extra care with their wrinkles, breathing, and temperature, and Ashleigh handled everything perfectly. Schedule
As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable, attentive care throughout the day. Caring for animals has always been a part of my daily routine, and I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. My days are structured around being home, which means I can be dependable and available to meet your pet’s needs while keeping you updated with photos and messages for peace of mind.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets, safety is always my top priority. I follow each owner’s instructions closely and do my best to keep pets on their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. During walks and drop-in visits, I always make sure dogs are properly leashed before opening any doors, and I double-check gates, food, water, and any special instructions before I leave. I’m also comfortable giving medications if needed and will send photo and text updates after each visit so owners know how their pet is doing. For boarding and daycare, pets are cared for in my home as part of the family. I have two very friendly chocolate Labs who enjoy being around other dogs. Because I do not have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is supervised and dogs are always kept on a leash for potty breaks and exercise. I also have two young children (7 months and 4 years old), so I only accept dogs that are comfortable in a family environment. I understand that every dog has different needs, and I’m happy to accommodate the owner’s preferences. Guest dogs can sleep in a dog bed or in a crate, depending on what they are used to at home. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and low-stress environment where pets feel cared for while their owners are away.

I love keeping pets active, engaged, and happy while they’re in my care! Depending on their age, personality, and energy level, activities may include: * Walks around the neighborhood and plenty of outdoor sniffing time * Games of fetch, tug-of-war, or chase * Play sessions with their favorite toys * Basic reinforcement of commands and good manners using positive rewards * Cuddle time, belly rubs, and lots of attention for pets who enjoy affection * Relaxing companionship for senior pets who prefer a slower pace My goal is to make sure every pet feels comfortable, has fun, and gets the right balance of exercise, enrichment, and love while you’re away. 🐾💕
