Experienced, loving sighthound Mum
I grew up with dogs, a mixed breed and a whippet and as an adult have had 3 sighthounds - 2 beautiful greyhounds and my current dog; gorgeous Arlo the lurcher. I have cared for dogs of all ages and have experience caring for dogs with very significant medical needs. My boy Arlo was diagnosed with a tumour this year and has just completed radiotherapy. He's now doing brilliantly and is back to his joyful best. All my dogs have been rescues from situations of neglect, so I am also experienced in supporting dogs who have experienced trauma. I love dogs with all my heart and make friends with every dog I meet. Dogs often seem especially drawn to me, with many owners commenting that their dogs don't usually make a fuss of strangers! I promise to treat your dog with the same love, respect and care that I give my own dog. Because of my work I have an enhanced DBS checks, so you can be absolutely sure I am a safe and trustworthy person to leave your precious pup with.

My dog Benson absolutely loves his days out with Ashleigh, he’s quite a chilled lad but he’s always so excited to see Ashleigh. Ashleigh’s wonderful dog Arlo is also superb, Benson is a rescue who is friendly with dogs but he doesn’t understand how to play, Arlo has been gradually encouraging Benson and yesterday they had their first big play together, Ashleigh sent me lots of photos and said it was adorable to see them having such a delightful time together. I couldn’t recommend Ashleigh highly enough!
Ashleigh took excellent care of our Lab, Turner. From my first message you could tell Ashleigh’s love for dogs and animals. She and Arlo, her gorgeous dog came and met us to make sure it would be a good match for looking after Turner and it was lovely to meet them in person before them looking after him. It was such a weight off our shoulders knowing we could relax as he was in such good hands. I would recommend Ashleigh and Arlo to anyone - she is fabulous. Thank you again!

We met Ashleigh and Arlo for a pre-stay meet up to check our dogs were happy in each other’s company. They were! Arlo is as chill as Ashleigh. When we dropped Milo off for his holiday stay, he was confident in her home as he’d already visited and was happy when we left. Regular updates and photos arrived while we were on holiday so I was happy and confident too. Milo was the most relaxed after a holiday that I have ever known him. Milo has a medical condition that Ashleigh appreciated and accommodated in her care while we were away. I definitely recommend Ashleigh to look after your pup with care and affection.
Thoroughly professional, kind and sensitive to the tricky needs of our dog - we would absolutely recommend Ashleigh and Arlo and are already planning to rebook! Ash (and Arlo) did a wonderful job looking after Eddie for a week. Ash is incredibly caring, attentive, and clearly treated Eddie as if he was her own. Schedule
I work in education part-time, so term time I can do Mondays, Fridays. Saturdays and Sundays. During the school holidays I am largely available every day. My dog Arlo likes plenty of exercise and fun to keep his brain stimulated, so days with us are usually busy; at least 3 hours of walking and playing with toys at home also - Arlo is happy to share.

I have a small fenced garden and live close to lots of lovely walks. Arlo and I love to explore the countryside on long walks and would love your doggo to keep us company. On hot summer days we choose woodland walks with plenty of shade and places to have a swim and a drink.
Pets
A typical day
A typical day with myself and Arlo would be a lovely long walk in the morning, then home for a big nap, and another long walk in the afternoon. Arlo also loves to play indoors and in the garden, but is really good at matching his energy to the dog he is entertaining. I will also listen carefully to what you say about your pups needs and can adapt my day to best suit them. If he or she needs lots of games and mental stimulation at home I can provide that, but equally if they are more into cuddles and snoozes, I am happy to oblige!
