My husband also works from home and helps care for our pets when I’m away, so he’s available to assist with pet care during longer stays or daytime needs. At home, our pets are truly part of the family. We have a fenced yard and a 30-foot tie-out that allows for safe outdoor time and supervised play. Our dogs are fed twice a day, enjoy afternoon playtime, and go for evening walks to stay active and happy. We also have two indoor cats, Oliver and Nala, who are both well-adjusted to sharing their space with dogs. Oliver is curious and enjoys joining us on walks in his pet stroller. He loves the sights and sounds of the outdoors! Nala, on the other hand, prefers the comfort of staying indoors, and we fully respect her boundaries. We never force our animals to do anything they’re uncomfortable with and always tailor our care to meet each pet’s unique personality and needs. Visiting pets will receive the same thoughtful, loving care just like one of our own!

I would like to know if they have any specific medical needs, and how well you pet does with other animals and people. I am very accepting and I love any and all dogs and cats so I am flexible to adjust to your pets needs!
A typical day
A typical day with me depends on whether it’s a weekday or weekend, but your pet will always receive loving attention and care! During weekdays, I follow a more structured routine due to my work schedule, but mornings and evenings are full of enrichment. We enjoy afternoon playtime in the yard or on the tie-out, followed by relaxing evening walks and cuddle time to wind down the day. On weekends, I have much more flexibility this is when the real fun happens! We love to go hiking, swimming, and exploring nature trails. If your pet enjoys the outdoors, they’re welcome to join the adventure (with your permission, of course). If they prefer to stay close to home, we’ll spend time playing in the yard, enjoying enrichment activities indoors, and relaxing together. No matter the day, I aim to match your pet’s energy level and comfort zone, whether they’re high-energy explorers or mellow snuggle bugs.

Pet care experience
I have lived on a farm all my life with pigs, cows, sheep, rabbits and poultry and I have 2 dogs of my own, and 2 cats also. I love to play and snuggle with them and I have been told before I am like the animal whisper and have this nurturing effect with any and all animals of various temperaments. I am a high energy person, but I can also be mellow and adjust well to any breed or any activity level. I have delt with puppies and elder animals of many species. I have no problem walking with your loved pet. I will make sure to make sure pets are treated like one of my own. It would be as if you and your family never left.

Ashleigh loves all animals so much she is currently a senior at Michigan State working on her animal science degree.
