Hi there! My name is Ashlei and I'd love to take care of your pet while you're away. I'm 27 years old and have experience in caring for animals of several kinds and sizes, including cats, dogs, fish, birds, livestock, and small animals such as ferrets and bunnies. Aside from caring for my own pets, I also have about four years of experience in professional animal care. I gained this experience through working at Old Church Creamery where I tended to cows each day and also through various pet sitting positions, where I've cared for dogs, cats, birds and bunnies. My full-time job is with a state wildlife agency, where I also handle wildlife.

I have had Ashlei sit for my cat twice before and I couldn't think of any other person I would rather have sit for her again. My cat had just been spayed and I was very nervous leaving her over night but Ashlei took such great care of her and provided me with such detailed updates that I was more than confident that she was in very capable hands.
Best sitter we have ever had for our 4 cats. Ashlei watched them for 8 days while we were out of town. They were happy and well taken care of. The litter box was super clean and all instructions were followed to the letter. She was in communication with us every day and took the time to interact with all the cats! Ashlei was trustworthy and conscientious. We will definitely use her again!
Me and my wife booked Ashlei for a few days and she was phenomenal! She took copious notes while we gave her instructions on our pet care regime and she followed them to a T. She updated us with photos during our trip which is always a relief to receive and know everything is going well. When we arrived home, the pets were all topped up with fresh food and water and the house was clean. We couldn't recommend hiring Ashlei more as she takes the needs of your pets very seriously and is capable of handling any amount of responsibility. We hope to book Ashlei again in the future!
Ashlei was great checking in on my cats everyday and stayed to play with them. Also great photographer and took some of the best pictures of my cats that I have now! Highly recommend

Schedule
When I'm not petsitting, I'm working to conserve and protect natural resources at my job with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources. I am able to perform drop ins in the morning and evening, outside of my work hours.

A typical day
Pets can sometimes have a hard time when their families are away, so I do my best to keep the animals in my care well-stimulated. Be sure to let me know their favorite toys, the best scritchy spots, favorite tricks for treats, etc and I will keep them distracted and happy until you return!
