Just a couple of dog-loving scientists! I have been around dogs of all breeds and sizes my entire life. As an adult I have always had at least one dog in the home, and I love to help out with the pets of others! I have even fostered newborn puppies. I am experienced administering boosters to dogs as well as medications. I have a true passion for fur babies and will do everything I can to ensure you have a worry-free experience. We do have a very calm, easy-going Bullmastiff (Mira is only 50 lbs, so we call her a mini-mastiff) in the home. We prefer dog-friendly guests. Each dog gets their own crate to provide their own special space if they are more introverted and want some time away from the action. Crates are covered with a sheet and filled with blankets to provide a nice cozy, cave feel. My husband (Ken) and I work together to provide quality in-home care 24/7. I work outside of the home, so I provide care during the mornings, late-afternoon, evenings, and weekends. My husband works from home and provides care during weekdays. Both of our schedules are flexible to take care of any situations that may arise as needed. Our home is ~3100 sq ft, which provides plenty of space for your dog to hang out during the day. Since someone is always home, we generally give pets free reign of the house while keeping an eye on them. We have a local park and extra long leash to play fetch with our dog, and we would be happy to do this with yours if interested. Ken works from home, so someone will be home 24/7 to supervise your dog. Visitors go for walks with us 2-3 times a day (morning, lunch, and evening) depending on their stamina and needs along with additional potty breaks as needed. We love to play catch or frisbee at the local park down the street, so if your dog is up for it, we would love to take them! Our basement is a walk-out, making it easy to avoid stairs for senior citizens or any pups with mobility problems. Please let us know of any training that you are implementing (if applicable) so we can help you continue while you are away. We also provide homemade treats (lots of pumpkin for sensitive stomachs) and enrichment activities throughout the day. We have an unfenced yard, so all outdoor time is completely supervised and on-leash. All feeding and medication schedules will stay consistent with what you do at home. If you let us know your dog's routine, we will keep it as consistent to what you do as possible. We also ask that all vaccinations are up-to-date. It can be helpful to bring a blanket or bed from home just to provide something familiar.
