Ashlee took great care of my dog Auggie. She kept me updated throughout the stay and was flexible with drop off/pick up.

Ashlee was great with my beagle! Bette loved her stay and was super mellow when I picked her up, which I take as a great sign. I recommend Ashlee!

She went out of her way to pick up and drop-off my pup while I boarded with her. I appreciate that a lot and my pup looks tired and happy. I highly recommend Ashlee for looking over your pup.

your NW home away from home

I started dog-sitting at 9, and have had many dogs of my own. Currently have 1 dog and 1 cat who is dog-savvy, and we live in NW portland. I just graduated from graduate school and am spending the summer studying, so I have tons of flexibility and time for lots of walks/study breaks. We're just blocks from Couch Park, and about a mile from Forest Park and the waterfront. There are lots of ...

What Ashlee would like to know about your dog

I have a CAT, so I need to know how your dog behaves with them. If your dog has no experience or is unsure, we'll need a crate.
I love large and medium breeds, dogs who want to go on a hike, dogs who fetch, know tricks, and like to snuggle. Small dogs are easy to take on the go though, and I'm happy to love on your best friend of any size.
Barking while I'm gone is a problem, as is peeing in the house. Dogs who have accidents need to come with a crate for when I'm away.

When Ashlee watches your pet

Here's where we'll take our walks
Couch park, forest park, and around the neighborhoods, farmers markets, to the waterfront, the rose garden. We'll get a real NW tour. If I'm going hiking or swimming, I'll always take your dog if you say it's okay, this is half the reason I dogsit after all!

Your dog's sleeping arrangement
Dogs sleep in the living room, and I sleep on a platform bed overlooking. Only small, agile dogs are allowed to sleep with me, as there is only a tiny shelf for jumping-up access. I want your dog to feel safe, so please bring a crate/bed/blanket for your pooch to have his/her familiar sleep spot.

Time I'll spend with your dog
My Mon-Thurs schedule varies from being gone 6-12 hours per day (ask for specifics), so these days only work for mellow older dogs who are okay home alone. Fri-Sun I never have to be away more than 2 hours at a time, and I typically try to plan dog-friendly activities while sitting, such as hikes in Forest Park or the Gorge, doggie play dates, or exploring the neighborhood. In the summer we go swimming too!
