Current Availability: Monday-Friday: 3pm-9pm, perfect for 2nd Shifters! I also offer overnights as "daycare"! Weekends: Open Availability. I have been a pet owner and lover for the last 30+ years with most of my experience with dogs, cats, and horses. My experience includes all species of household pets (limited experience in reptile care), livestock, and most birds. I have had cats my whole life and have rescued, fostered, and even hand-raised kittens. I do not discriminate based on breed so your pitty-pals and other "aggressive" labeled dog breeds are welcome. ❗IMPORTANT: I require a Meet & Greet with every animal I care for. This is a personal as well as professional preference to ensure safety and quality of care for the animal. I do NOT do sudden drop-offs so please plan ahead to ensure you have time to schedule a M&G before service starts.❗

I currently have 2 dogs and 4 cats in the home. Both dogs are females, one spayed (rescue) and one who remains intact with plans to spay July 2026 when she is 2. I do not have a fenced in yard so boarded dogs will have to be on a leash or 20ft. longline (not tie-out) while outside. I'm in a community offset from major roads that allows me to walk dogs safely and I live only a few miles from Grand Ravines Dog Park. I am planning on adding a few Sniffspots that I can utilize if preferred.

Ashel took great care of my cat. I appreciated that she suggested a meet and greet in advance, and she was very patient with my very shy/anxious cat. While I was gone, she was communicative and easy to get a hold of.
Ashel is fantastic. She stayed with my two dogs and cat while we were away and was responsible, conscientious, quick to communicate with updates and questions, and great with the animals. She went above and beyond what was expected with caring for our pets and house and I couldn't have asked for a better sitter. I highly recommend Ashel!
We have 3 little dogs and 2 cats.. ashel was an amazing pet sitter!! We were gone for 5 days and she stayed with them and did everything asked of her. She is super good with animals of all kinds and is very reliable!

Schedule
I'm currently working full-time Monday thru Friday 5 am-2 pm in Kentwood, MI. Depending on your location, I can be available for walks or drop ins as early as 2:15 pm. I will only board one dog at a time, and up to two cats. Boarded cats will be kept in a separate bedroom away from my own to ease stress. Long-term boarding for all animals may be possible and considered on an individual basis.
