Pet care fits easily into my current daily routine, and I have a flexible schedule with plenty of availability to dedicate time and attention to the pets in my care. I am able to accommodate a variety of schedules and routines and can plan my day around the needs of each pet. This flexibility allows me to provide attentive, reliable care rather than trying to fit pet care around a busy work schedule.

When I first meet a pet, I like to let them approach me at their own pace and take time to build trust. I understand that being separated from their people and meeting someone new can be stressful, so I focus on maintaining their familiar routines and creating a safe, comfortable environment. I take the time to learn each pet’s unique personality, needs, routines, and favorite activities so I can provide care that helps them feel secure and happy while their family is away. I also remain attentive to potential hazards and take steps to keep pets safe in their home. I am careful to follow owners instructions for pet care and rules of the home to make sure everyone is safe. Every animal is different, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel most comfortable and content. For a pets comfort, I do my best keep their routine and environment as consistent as consistent as possible in the absence of their owners.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know about any medical, physical, emotional, behavioral, or dietary needs, as well as medications and important routines. Knowing a pet’s age, energy level, personality, and individual preferences helps me provide the right balance of activity, stimulation, rest, and care. I also appreciate knowing what helps your pet feel comfortable while you’re away, including their favorite toys, activities, routines, and ways of receiving affection. Any information that helps me understand your pet and care for them safely and comfortably is important to me.

Every pet has different energy levels, personalities, and needs, so I tailor our time together to what they enjoy most. Whether that means playtime, walks, mental stimulation, outdoor exploration, or simply relaxing together, I aim to keep pets happy, comfortable, and engaged. For senior or lower-energy pets, I focus on gentle activities they can safely enjoy while prioritizing their comfort and well-being.

For the past 18 years, I’ve been a trusted pet sitter and dog walker for family, friends, coworkers, and employers. Today, my husband and I share our home with two cats and an axolotl. Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for animals of all ages and needs, including puppies and kittens, senior pets, animals recovering from illness, and those with special physical, emotional, or dietary requirements. Much of this experience comes from caring for my own pets as well as the pets of others. If I am not confident that I can meet your pets needs based on your request I will let you know promptly so you can reach out to another pet sitter who can provide the care your pet needs. I believe animals enrich our lives with unconditional love, companionship, and joy. When they’re in my care, I strive to provide that same level of love, attention, patience, and respect in return.

There is no way I can begin to say enough good things about Ash and how well she took care of Bella and our house while we were away. From the very first time Ash came over to meet Bella, it was clear she was going to be a great fit. She and Bella were friends from the start! While we were away, Ash’s communication was excellent. After every visit, she sent detailed and accurate updates about Bella and everything going on around the house. It gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing Bella was happy, comfortable, and being so well cared for. It is obvious that Ash genuinely cares about the furry family members she looks after, and that really showed in the way Bella responded to her.
