I currently work as a professional dog trainer, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and provide attentive care throughout the day. My partner, Emily also helps care for the pups and is home as well, so there is almost always someone present with them. On the rare occasion that the dogs are left alone, it would only be for a short period of time typically no longer than an hour while we are out on walks, running a quick errand, or doing a meet and greet. During that time, all dogs will be safely secured inside the home and never left unattended outdoors.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pup’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I have a fully fenced and secured backyard that is locked and designed to prevent even escape artists from getting out. The yard includes dog igloos, a shaded dog tent to help keep pups cool from the sun, elevated dog beds for relaxing, and a variety of toys both indoors and outdoors including balls, stuffed toys, squeaky toys, and ropes to fit every dog’s play style and preference. Fresh water is always available inside and outside with multiple bowls placed within easy reach. I have both a small and large dog at home who are friendly after a proper introduction, giving your pup a playmate based on their comfort level and personality. Dogs are able to socialize and play for most of the day, but I also strongly believe in structured naps and quiet time to help prevent overstimulation and ensure every pup stays happy, relaxed, and comfortable during their stay. If your dog prefers their own space or if requested by you, crates are also available. Each day includes three 10–15 minute potty breaks, three 30-minute outdoor play sessions, and two 30-minute neighborhood walks depending on the weather. I also offer optional exit baths before pickup upon request and based on your pup’s comfort level with bathing. My goal is to provide a safe, structured, loving, and fun environment where your dog feels comfortable, cared for, and right at home.

Information Ash O. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know: * What your pup likes and dislikes? * Any allergies? * Is your pup spayed or neutered? * Is your pup crate trained or a free roamer? * Do they have accidents when excited or scared? * Do they get territorial? * Do they make noises while playing? * How many cups and times they eat per day? * If your pup is up to date with their shots and flea medicine? * Please have your pup up to date since I do watch other pups other than my own and want your pup, my pups, and other pups to be in a safe and fun environment. Also, I kindly ask that your pups bio be up to date in case I need to go back to it. My top priority is for your pup to be safe, have fun and feel at home!

A typical day

I enjoy playing fetch with the pups, both with a ball and a frisbee which does get their energy out. I do daily walks around my neighborhood which are always entertaining for them since it’s a new area and it distracts them.

Pet care experience

Hi, my name is Ashley, but most people call me Ash. I have certifications in dog clicker training, reactive and fearful dog training, and puppy obedience training. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I’m a proud pet mom to a German Shepherd named Cora, an Australian Shepherd named Bear, and a Snowshoe cat named June. Growing up around animals has given me years of hands-on experience understanding different personalities, behaviors, and care needs. For the past six years, I have worked with dogs through training, handling, and behavioral support. Along with pet care services, I will also be adding dog training services to help owners build stronger relationships with their pets through positive reinforcement and personalized training approaches. Friends, family, and neighbors regularly trust me with their pets for walking, drop-in visits, companionship, and attentive care. I currently watch my neighbors’ dogs and care for a firefighter’s dogs, Lucy and Layla, while he’s at work. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, playful, or needs a little extra patience and understanding, I strive to provide dependable, loving, and personalized care so both you and your pets feel comfortable and confident.

Ash has been amazing with our pup Sadie. She had the confidence to take our reactive dog into her home and the ability and patience to help Sadie adjust to other dogs. Sadie has changed because of Ash and we are grateful for all she has done.

Ash has a great home for pets I am always as ease when the boys get to visit them and Lenny has a crush on Cora their shepherd🥹. I will make more stops to Ash house so my boys can have a doggy vacation there. I have a rottweiler and anxious Belgian Shepherd so for them to get excited to go to their house says a lot. i highly recommend waiting on them to answer if they can book I would not want anyone else on Rover to watch my babies:) Thanks again for handling them with care:)
