Walking Emerald City with your dog!

Hello, my name is Ash. I have been using Rover to watch dogs since December 2014. About Me: I love being able to make new dog friends. I love them all from the big to the small. I care for cats too. I previously had pet chickens and can provide chicken care services. If you have other pets reach out and we can go over the details. I love all dogs but my favorites are Great Danes, Australian shepherds, border collies, and my favorite mutt, Willow!!! I have experience with dogs of all ages from puppies to seniors with health issues. Over my years on Rover, time spent in doggie daycare, and years growing up on a farm I have encountered a plethora of dog personalities and temperaments. Services Offered: Drop-In Visits Dog Walks and Dog Park Adventures **with dogs that are a good fit** Overnight Stays in Your Home (My dog Willow needs to come with me) Service Details Open to any and all pet varieties. I have pet chickens if you need that type of visit. Drop-In Visits for Cats: 30min to 60min visits to your home. I am able to feed, play, clean litter boxes, and give medicine if needed. If you have an automatic feeder and waterer during your trip, I can stop by less often or daily. Whatever your cat needs. If you are open to flexibility on timing, let me know so that I can fit your cat into the schedule in the best way possible. If your cat has needs that require a specific time for my arrival let me know so that I can make sure that it is marked as time-sensitive. This service is open for new pets and repeat pet friends. Drop-In Visits for Dogs: 30-60 minute visits in your home. If you are going to be away for multiple days, I provide 3 visits a day to your dog(s). I am not comfortable leaving pets alone for 12 hours at a time, arrangements can be made to split that time in a way that works best for your pet(s). During drop-in visits, I can take care of any of your dog's needs including offering a walk during the visit or playing ball outside. This service is open to new pets and repeat pet friends. Dog Walks: 30-60 minute dog walks. All dogs must have a well-fitted harness for walks. My walks are only with dogs from your home near your home. I don’t do pack walks. If you are interested in longer walks at Seward Park, dog parks, or hikes. I am willing to discuss those potential services with established clients. Dog walks are currently open to new pets and repeat pet friends. Dog Park adventures at Genessee Dog Park is available if your dog is a good fit for pack play. Overnight Stays in Your Home: Current clients only This will give your pet the freedom to enjoy his own space while you are away. I am able to provide services in your home for dogs that are less doggie socialized, have anxieties, or need more extensive medical care. My dog, Willow is able to stay at my home during your stay if needed. I prefer that she can come with me since she has been without me a lot in the past year. My friend, Ethan assists with Willow while I am at your home. He has a rover profile as well and can offer services that I may not be able to accomodate. Message me for his link. In case of an emergency, Ethan will act as a backup sitter for your dog. I really want your fur baby to feel at home while you are away. I will maintain your dog's specific routine. I am able to reliably administer medications as well. I have a car and I am able to provide transportation to a vet in case of medical emergencies. I can provide fun outings at dog parks or in-town hikes daily for an additional fee to supplement gas costs. My schedule is very flexible since pet care is my full-time work. During your stay, my priority is to give your pet as much care and attention as possible. Monday to Friday, I generally have dog walks nearby from 10am to 2pm and will typically be gone during those hours. I will respect your dog's routine and needs while maintaining a safe, clean environment in your home. I will treat your space with respect and honor the trust that is required to let a stranger inside your home. I have Airbnb units in my home so I know just how stressful it can be to not know what is happening to your pet but also to your home. I will provide pictures and updates throughout your stay and anything else that you may request. Service Area: South of I90, east of I5 all the way down to Bryn Mawr/skyway. I don't service Mercer Island. Limited service Just west of I5 due to winter weather. I have provided a map in my photos. Most of my clients are located in Columbia City and Mount Baker. Onboarding Process: All new pets and pet parents will be met during a meet and greet before your visit. This service is provided for free. I try to schedule a meet and greet within a few days of being messaged by you. During busy holiday times, this may take a few days longer due to providing care for pets. Before your meet and greet, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire about your pet. This helps me to make sure that I have all the information about the care of your pet and can have an organized way to reference that information throughout their care and for any future care. This questionnaire asks about the behavior of your pet, please be as honest as possible. I have worked with a lot of animal personalities. If your pet has anxiety or reactivity, it is safer for everyone involved if I am aware and can prepare for that behavior. During the meet and greet, I will meet you and your pet. I will ask any further questions that I have, get to know your pet, and learn about your house. The meet and greet is usually the best time to exchange keys if you don’t have a keyless entry or a lock box. A lock box can be bought from me for $20 if you would like one. If you use the August App or another remote app lock, I would still like to have a key that is accessible to me. I have had issues with that app not working. This could be a neighbor or emergency contact nearby.

Ashley got us out of a pinch at the last minute and over a holiday weekend to boot. She gave excellent care to our cats who were having GI problems after a round of antibiotics. She was very vigilant and gave us detailed reports so we could monitor them from afar. We were able to relax and take a badly needed getaway thanks to her care for our cats.

Ash came to our house and fed our dogs while we were gone on vacation. She was responsible and we recommend her highly.

Ash is a stellar pet sitter! She watched my two cats for two weeks while I was on an international trip. Halfway through the trip, one of my cats got sick with a respiratory illness. Ash flagged the symptoms early, kept an eye on the symptoms my vet told us to look out for, and communicated promptly about what she observed, and even took my cat to the emergency vet after she reported one of the symptoms that my vet had told us about. I'm so glad to have had a caring sitter when my cat needed medical attention!

Schedule

I am a full-time pet care provider on Rover. My primary income comes from taking care of pets for walks, drop-ins, and overnights. This means that my schedule is very flexible and can accommodate most requests. During any holiday, I book up quickly. I would suggest booking overnight stays at least 2 months in advance for non-holidays and 3 months in advance for holidays. Walks and Drop-ins tend to book up less quickly. After initial onboarding, I can usually accommodate walks and drop-ins with a day or two notice.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
Dogs over 1 year old
Ash can host up to 11 drop-ins per day
I like to know about behavior history, health history, routines, and if there anything important to know about your pets, your house, or your trip.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
