Our experiences with Rover have generally been pretty good, and we’ve never felt compelled to leave a negative review before. But in this case, we felt sharing our experience was important, since we think the 5-star score this sitter has could mislead folks into booking with her the way we did. Many of the reviews describe frequent updates and dogs coming home well exercised and happy. That wasn’t our experience. When we dropped Fitz off, Artina sent someone else out to pick him up, which caught us off guard since we hadn’t been informed ahead of time. We also learned partway through that other dogs were staying with her too. Fitz does fine with other dogs, but we should have been informed before drop off. Updates were pretty limited over the weekend. When we checked in, we’d usually just hear “he’s doing fine.” Fitz wears a Fi collar, and the data made it clear he was contained rather than receiving any opportunities to exercise (he also appears to only have been let outside 2x/24 hours). On a typical day with one walk, he gets close to 16,000 steps. On Saturday, he had 928 steps in 24 hours. Fitz came home pretty anxious, and honestly, so were we the whole weekend. He’s back with us safely, which is the one thing that kept this from being worse. We’re sharing this so other pet parents have a fuller picture when they’re choosing care for their dog.
Very attentive and professional sitter! Asked for vaccinations records and took notes for the dining instructions. And we welcomed back our fluffy boy with a big smile on his face! Made our trip super easy!
We would re-book with Artina in a heartbeat. She’s communicative, professional and very flexible. Our nervous Nelly rescue pooch had a great time, and we had complete peace of mind. Couldn’t really ask for more!
Artina is a gem. I had train delays and she didn’t flinch in keeping my boy longer than expected. A lifesaver!

Artina was very pleasant to interact with and seemed deligent about making sure my pet got good exercise -- both were much appreciated. Wish there had been just a little more communication during my pet's stay with her, but overall it was a good experience.
