Meet Kenji, Your Pet’s Tiny Friend
➡️ I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, growing up with as many as 10 cats at once! As an adult, I’ve had three dogs who were part of our family from puppyhood through their senior years, so I’m comfortable caring for pets at every stage of life. ➡️ I’ve also dog-sat for family members’ dogs many times over the years, always free of charge…perks of being family! ➡️ My partner has also been around dogs and cats for many years, so caring for animals is something we both enjoy. ➡️ We’re also home to an adorable and super-friendly Chinese hamster named Kenji, who would love to meet your furry friends! Kenji is both very laid-back and curious, depending on the time of day. ➡️ I’m home the vast majority of the week and readily available to give your pet plenty of attention. I share custody of my children, so depending on the week, your pet may have quiet one-on-one time with us or enjoy the company of my kids, who will be happy to help give your animals plenty of love and attention. ➡️ We have a one-acre grassy field directly behind our home that provides plenty of space for walks and potty breaks, and our community also has its own fenced-in dog park. We also love hiking and would be thrilled to take your pup along for an adventure! ➡️ We no longer have dogs or cats of our own as they have all crossed over the rainbow bridge, so your pet will receive lots of personalized, one-on-one attention. We’d love the opportunity to give your furry family member a safe, loving, and comfortable home away from home!

Schedule
⭐️ I have a consistent and very flexible schedule that allows me to be home and available for pets throughout most of the week. My work schedule is approximately four hours on Mondays and Wednesdays during the school year. Aside from those hours, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive, reliable care. ⭐️ I also share custody of my three children as mentioned, and our household schedule is predictable. That will allow me to plan around each pet’s individual needs. Some weeks are quieter and other weeks your pet will have the added company of my kids, depending on the dates of your booking. ⭐️ With my flexible availability, I’m happy to follow your pet’s established routines to help them feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment
⭐️ I provide a calm, clean, and welcoming environment where pets can receive plenty of individual attention and supervision. Since we do not currently have dogs or cats of our own, your pet can enjoy one-on-one care without having to share the space with other animals. ⭐️ Your pet will be free to roam throughout the common areas of our home and will be welcome in bedrooms with supervision, since those areas have carpeted flooring. If you prefer your pet to be crated at any point, I’m happy to follow your instructions. Depending on the size of your pet, you may need to provide an appropriately sized crate. ⭐️ For outdoor time, I use a leash and collar provided by you and provide walks and potty breaks in the very large grassy area directly behind our home. Our community also has a fenced dog park for appropriate dogs who enjoy more space to play. ⭐️ I’m happy to follow your pet’s established routines and any specific instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, medications, crate routines, and exercise needs. Since no two pets are exactly alike, I want to make sure your pet’s individual personality, needs, and routines are respected throughout their stay. I will always prioritize safe handling and make sure your pet is secure, comfortable, and well cared for.
A typical day
⭐️ We’ll have plenty of time for walks, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of attention and cuddles according to my flexible schedule. Be sure to provide your pup’s favorite toy(s) for familiarity. ⭐️ We have a large grassy area directly behind our home for walks and outdoor time, and our community has a fenced-in dog park if your pup would be allowed to explore. We also love hiking all over the city, and would be happy to bring your pup along for an adventure when appropriate! ⭐️ Most importantly, I want your pet to feel comfortable and at home. Whether they’re an energetic pup ready for an adventure or a laid-back dog who prefers lounging and cuddling, we’ll make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and companionship throughout the day.
