Safety, trust & environment

I pride myself on creating a warm, welcoming, and dog-friendly environment for all pets under my care. While my living space is small, it offers a cozy, calm and relaxed atmosphere where dogs feel safe and at home. I live in a quiet student housing facility, with my own private room, ensuring no disturbances. Previous dog clients have loved the freedom of my space, where they are allowed to explore and relax, following any guidelines set by their owners. Whether it's choosing their favorite spot to sleep or simply having a peaceful place to unwind, your dog will have the comfort they deserve. In addition to the indoor environment, I have a secure, dog-friendly garden right outside, perfect for playtime, potty breaks, and safe exploration. Just beyond the garden is a beautiful park, ideal for walks and outdoor activities, providing ample opportunity for fresh air and exercise. If your dog feels more comfortable staying in its own home, I can accommodate that as well. I take care to follow your specific instructions, ensuring consistency with their routine, feeding schedule, and any special needs they may have. Whether in my home or yours, their safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities.

Information Artemis A. would like to know about your pet

Please inform me of any special needs or specific behaviors your dog may have so I can provide the best possible care. I have extensive experience working with dogs who have separation anxiety, and I understand the extra attention and reassurance they require. Additionally, I am comfortable caring for female dogs in heat, as well as non-neutered male dogs, and can adapt to their unique needs without issue. While I have a particular fondness for poodles and griffons (due to my own dogs), I love and welcome all dog breeds, each with their own unique personality. My goal is to ensure that your dog feels secure, understood, and well cared for, no matter their breed or specific needs. Let me know any details, routines, or preferences ahead of time, so I can tailor my approach to suit your dog’s individual requirements.

A typical day

A typical day with your dog will be tailored to their individual preferences and routines, ensuring they feel right at home while in my care. I strive to replicate the activities they enjoy most with their owner, providing a sense of familiarity and comfort. Whether it’s a morning walk in the nearby park or relaxing time in the garden, your dog’s needs and preferences come first. For dogs who love affection, I offer plenty of petting and cuddles—creating a loving, nurturing atmosphere. Walks are scheduled according to their energy level and requirements, whether it's a leisurely stroll or a more active run around the park. If your dog enjoys playtime, I’ll incorporate their favorite toys brought from home or my own collection of balls and soft toys for them to chase, fetch, or chew. For high-energy dogs, I can organize agility-style games in the garden, helping them burn off energy in a fun, engaging way. Rest assured, they will never be left unattended, and my full attention will be focused on their happiness and well-being. I also love spending quiet moments with them, offering comfort and companionship, especially for dogs that thrive on affection. Often missing my own dog, I understand how important it is to create a bond with every pet in my care, ensuring they receive all the love, attention, and care they deserve.

I am not surprised that Artemis chose that kind of job. I mean, I know that if she had enough money to live alone by herself as a student, she would do it for free because she totally adores being with dogs. She even just stops on the streets to pet and feed the stray dogs. She basically can't stand the idea of unloved dogs. I am her neighbor, George, from Athens. I am 6 years older than her but I know her since she was in elementary school. I have a black Cocker Spaniel, Rocky, she is 3 years old and Artemis has really helped me with her nurturing. We would see each other in the neighborhood when we were walking our dogs and that's how it started. She actually knew a lot of useful information and gave me a lot of tips and advice about young female dogs, especially about the non neutered ones. Her dog Juicy, had a tough experience with cancer, but now she's all doing great. During those times, Artemis was reading a lot of books regarding dog illnesses and how emotion, support and training can actually influence the dog's wellbeing. She borrowed me one of them and it was really interested. Anyway, she is a person I really trust because for a few nights the past summer she took care of Rocky at her home, while I was away for holidays and she insisted to not get paid for that. We would make calls so I could see Rocky and make sure she's okay. My dog had the best time with her so now I'm devastated she moved to Amsterdam, because I know I'll have to find another pet sitter for Rocky, when I travel again.

My name is Vanessa, and I am Artemis's cousin. I know Artemis from the day she was born and I guarantee you that since that very first day, her love for animals, and more especially dogs, is immense, and still growing. All those years, she did not spend a day without a dog. She started taking care of her first family dog; which was a large one, when she was just five years old. And then, at the age of 10 she got her own little dog, Juicy. I have never seen her neglecting them. Sometimes I would invite her at my home and she would play with my dog, Dodo, giving him more attention than me myself. I think her love and affection for dogs has already become a part of her personality.

Hello, I'm Rafaela, I am 26 years old and I am from Greece. I know Artemis four years now because her family owns a summer house next to ours in the greek island of Skiathos. Her grandma got married to my father twelve years ago so our families spend a lot of time together and are really close. My father suffers from leukemia, so he spents a lot of time in and out of hospitals and treatment facilities and I work at a tourist agency there, so taking care of our large Golden Retriever Balou has not been an easy task for us. Fortunately, Artemis is a very cheerful, energetic and most of all eager girl. She would come by our garden almost everyday playing with Balou. One time we asked her to take her home next door for fun but she actually did. Then we realized how beneficial this situation would be for all of us, so we created a plan in which each one of us would have some quality time with Balou. Balou is a social and active dog thus being with Artemis and her dog Juicy was something that really entertained her. We only offered her this task because we knew how much she loved being with Balou, and generally how well she can take care of dogs, regardless of their size. Whether it be walks or playing with her, she did everything great for her age. I say that because she was still a teenager when she begun taking care of Balou. I even remember an incidence when we where trying to make Balou swallow a pill for worms and she was resisting and only Artemis managed to make her swallow it. I hope next summer she has time to come by in Skiathos and help as with Balou!
