Pet care experience
I have owned 6 cats and a variety of both salt and fresh water fish in the last 13 years. I cared for all of them since they were kittens. One of them I had for nearly 13 years, she passed before her 13th birthday. I also have volunteered doing cat-care at Homeward Pet Adoption Center for three years. I have some experience caring for horses and rabbits as well. I have a special interest in animal behavior and psychology, and have been called a “animal/cat whisperer” on multiple occasions. Because I’ve been around animals for so long, I developed a knack on picking up the body language and personalities of every animal I encounter. Working with animals has always been my biggest dream, and I hope that I can use Rover as a starting point or even a career.

Arisa is one of the most responsible pet sitters I’ve ever had. When we were out of town, we hired her to watch our 10 cats which included a mama and five kittens. She went above and beyond what was required for our pet sitting needs, including offering to pick up pet food that had run out and staying an extra couple of days when our travel plans had changed. I highly recommend her to anyone if you want great care of your animals.
I got to know Arisa at an animal shelter where we both volunteered. She was a very loving volunteer with great skills with the animals. She was also a nice friend so the combination of the two, I believe, makes for a person who I would be comfortable with leaving her in the care of my pets as well as recommending her to care for others’ pets.
My Coco could be a bit finicky and was older so she had some special needs. Arisa, took all my notes and directions and was not only excellent at following all of them but was also loving and sweet to Coco. I would absolutely trust her with my pets, she truly treats them just like I would!
Arisa is a wonderful animal person. She listens carefully to instructions and follows them carefully. My dog is always happy with her, and I don't worry when I am away.

I love interacting with every pet that’s been put into my care. Play sessions are important for the pet’s mental and physical health, as my motto goes, a healthy animal is a happy animal. I love giving treats as a reward for good behavior, and I have some experience with easy training for cats and dogs. Walking dogs or any animal that requires to be walked is also very important to me.

I am currently unemployed, and would like to take the opportunity with gaining more experience on caring for animals. I think Rover gives a great opportunity not only as a career but also to make connections, and I love building long-term friendships with both people and animals.
