Availability
I am a grad student and currently on break until Labor Day; I am also currently job searching and therefore always available (save for planned vacations)! I do not currently live with a pet, but in the past I have taken care of family dogs by walking them once or twice a day as directed/decided upon by my family, or more if I was the only one taking care of them, as well as feeding and playing with them. At the moment I occasionally dog-sit for my aunt and uncle in Bedford, usually over weekends, and I do much the same for their dog.

Safety, trust & environment
When I visit my family, I take care of our dog by walking, feeding, and playing with her, and generally giving her lots of attention and love. When caring for pets in clients' homes, I follow the rules they have set out for me, and make sure to give the pets much attention.
Information Ariella K. would like to know about your pet
I do not have any especial preferences for breed or age, though I do prefer a dog who is relatively quiet and not too heavy. I must know if they require any medicine and how well-trained they are, especially as it pertains to bodily functions.
A typical day
Before I moved to Boston, I would take my dog (now my parents' dog, I suppose) on one to two walks a day (one longer walk during the day, one shorter at night). I would also play with her when she wanted to play with me. I am happily willing and able to play with dogs (and cats) for longer periods of time, and take them on walks to explore neighborhoods.

Experienced pet owner/animal lover!
Pet care experience
I am a lifelong dog lover and have cared for my own dogs (Clover, a wonderful Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix [RIP] and Sophie, an Australian Cattle Dog who sadly still lives with my parents in Chicago) as well as my family's and neighbors' dogs on and off for the last fifteen years. I have worked in caring for and washing dogs, and I have been trained in dog care at the Animal Care League in Oak Park, Illinois. I am a graduate student at Simmons University and, since I live in a no-pets building, am eager to get out there and meet some new dogs and help you to take care of them and love them so that they continue to thrive.
Reviews

Ari took great care of our two dogs and our home while we were away for a few days over Thanksgiving. She left the house clean and neat and ready for us to return. Will definitely book again! Thank you,Ari!

Ari stayed with our cat and dog for two weeks in our home while we went on a road trip. When we returned home the animals were calm, happy and relaxed, dare I say they were bored to see us return home. The house was tidy, the litter box was clean and the animal waters was full. All these things indicate to me that Ari did a great job taking care of our animals while we were gone. Ari sent several updates and photos via text message while we were gone which I really liked. She also handled the unique challenges of our animals. Our cat is old and requires coaxing in order to get him to eat. Our dog gets meds twice a day and sometimes has pee pee accidents on the floor. It looks like Ari was able to handle all these challenges. The cat didn't lose too much weight while we were gone. And the house didn't smell like dog urine when we returned (which wouldn't have been unexpected since our dog has incontinence issues sometimes). All in all we were very happy with Ari and would book her again to care for our animals.

Ariella stayed at our house with our 1-year-old Frenchie for over a week while we were in vacation. She also watered some new garden plants and collected mail. It was a lifesaver to have someone stay on-site with our girl!
Ari has done both walks and week-long overnights with our dog. She is responsible, affectionate, and truly an animal lover. She takes our dog on nice long walks, does feedings, and administers her medicine. We love Ari, and our pup does too!!
