When caring for pets, I focus on making them feel comfortable and keeping their routine as normal as possible. Since I mostly care for pets in my client’s home, I follow the instructions they provide for feeding, walks, playtime, and any other needs their pet may have. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while their owner is away.

Before watching a pet, I like to know their feeding schedule, any allergies or medical needs, their energy level, and how they usually behave with new people or other animals. It’s also helpful to know their favorite activities, if they have any fears, and their bathroom routine so I can make sure they feel comfortable and cared for.
A typical day
I love keeping pets active and happy! I enjoy taking dogs on walks, playing fetch, tug-of-war, and letting them explore outside. For pets that like calmer activities, I give lots of cuddles, brushing, and relaxing time. I always try to match the activity to the pet’s energy level so they feel comfortable and have fun.

I’ve helped her with many of the dogs and cats she’s cared for, from feeding and walks to giving them attention and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I had a great experience with Ariel Newsome watching my dog. She came to my home and took amazing care of everything while I was away. She kept me updated the whole time with tons of pictures and messages, which really gave me peace of mind. She made sure my dog got plenty of exercise and playtime and treated him like he was her own. Ariel even went the extra mile by putting her bedding in the laundry room and making sure everything was clean before she left, even though that wasn’t part of her job.
