[Please check the notes about my availability!] I've spent a lifetime around dogs, from goldens and boxers to husky mixes, so I'm comfortable with bigger breeds while still keeping a gentle, reassuring presence. Over the years, I've also cared for senior dogs with special dietary needs, high-energy working breeds, and anxious or shy pups who need a little extra patience. My approach blends calm companionship with confident handling—I'm happy to curl up for quiet couch time or head out for a long, steady walk when the weather's nice. I'm detail-oriented and quick to notice when something's off, whether it's a change of mood, appetite, or behavior. I love learning each pup's quirks and personality so I can connect with them in a way that feels familiar and safe. And while I'm not a formal trainer, I have years of hands-on experience with leash manners, basic obedience, and redirecting unwanted behavior before it becomes an issue. Above all, I treat every dog like a member of my own family—loved, respected, and cared for with the same attention I'd want for my own pets.

When I'm in your home, I try my best to follow your pet's routine just as you've outlined it—from meal times to walk routes to favorite toys. My goal is to make their day feel as normal and comfortable as possible while you're away. I keep their space safe and tidy, make sure they have fresh water, and give them the kind of interaction that matches their mood and energy level—whether that's a gentle game of tug, a nice stroll, or just quiet company nearby. If crating is a part of the routine, I can handle that, and I'm happy to help reinforce basic leash manners along the way. I adjust my visits to suit your pet's personality, so whether you have a social butterfly or a laid-back lounger, they'll get exactly what they need to feel secure until you're home.

Ariel was absolutely fantastic with watching our two pups while we were away for a long weekend. She was available to help on short notice which relieved a lot of stress for us and was incredibly efficient in setting up a meet and greet. Our dogs loved Ariel immediately and we could tell that they received great care and lots of love while we were away. She provided updates and photos regularly and was incredibly responsive in all of our correspondence. She also stripped the sheets off the bed, swept our living room floors and took out her trash before we got home without us even asking. I always appreciate being able to come home from vacation and not having to immediately do a bunch of cleaning, so thank you, Ariel!
Ariel did a good job with my dog and took good care of my home. I could tell that Ariel was responsive, sent pictures, and kept my home clean.

Ariel cared for our pups inside our home for 5 days while we traveled out of the country and I can’t speak highly enough of her! She checked in and sent pictures almost daily. Our 3 dogs had the BEST time and we already have her booked again in November

Schedule
I'm currently working as a postal carrier, so I have variable hours each week, but my typical schedule takes me from 8 AM till about 4 PM usually 4-5 days of the week. On occasion, I'll have to stay in the office for overtime until about 5 or 6 PM. It's hard to predict, and just varies with the amount of mail processed each day. It would be ideal if your pups have a doggy door, are pee-pad-trained, or have a neighbor check on them once around noon, so they're not forced to hold it if I have to stay later than usual. I'll spend the rest of my time in your home with them, so I can guarantee they'll be fed and watered on a typical morning / evening schedule, and they'll have company / walkies in the afternoons and evenings.

- I'd love to know if your dog has a favorite treat or dog-safe snacks like carrots, apples, or ice cubes. I usually buy myself a veggie tray for overnights and I'm more than happy to share some broccoli or a cherry tomato! As for breeds, I have no particular preference or bias, but a warning for those with bigger or more muscular breeds, I'm not a very large person. I can handle some jumping or leash pulling from bigger dogs, but if I could potentially be swept off my feet by your overeager pup, I'd love a heads up!
