Safety, trust & environment

I have 3 cats and a bordernese dog of my own, Winston, who I've trained to use buttons to communicate. I've cared for cats all my life and dogs for almost a decade and I will care for yours like they are family! Whatever their needs are, whether it's special attention for a nervous pup, a gentle approach for a shy cat or a ton of cuddles, I can adapt to whatever sort of animal you need care for. I also have experience with exotic animals such as sugar gliders, snakes and smaller animals such as rats and hamsters. Additionally, I have an educational background in psychology, and so the comfort and mental state of your animal is of the utmost importance to me. I never want an animal to feel uncomfortable or cause stress, so if additional meet and greets are needed for more anxious pups or kitties, I am more than happy to accommodate. I will also stay in consistent touch with you, sending pictures of your pet's visit (which I love to take) and ensure that important information is properly communicated.

Information Ariel D. would like to know about your pet

I like to start every new client out with a free meet and greet before I confirm the booking. This allows me to ask you for important information regarding your animal, for example: care instructions, location of important tools/food, leash reactivity, etc. It also helps the animals to get to know me with you, the owner, there to bridge the gap and makes it easier on your animal for future visits!

A typical day

For dogs, walks can look like a long hike for a young puppy, or a short walk/long leash play around the yard for a slower, older dog. They will also get plenty of love and attention, and treats if allowed! For cats, I love using string toys or laser pointers to exercise them, and also I am experienced with walking cats on-leash, as I used to walk my own cats. For both types of animals I'll make sure they have food, water and relevant medication and that anything that can harm them is safely stowed away before I leave and that doors are locked. I am also available to water plants and wash bowls while I am there!
