Hi! I’m Ariane, now based in Lynchburg, with hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, and a few less common pets over the years. I previously worked as a dog walker and sitter in the DMV area for multiple clients, so I have plenty of experience. I’m very comfortable with pets who need extra support, like seniors, pets with mobility challenges or dementia, anxious or reactive animals, those on special diets, and pets that require daily medication. I’ve handled all kinds of personalities too, like shy, clingy, nervous, confident, spicy, giant, tiny...I love all of them! I can assist with medication, basic training and crate/potty routines, senior and mobility care, feeding, litter cleaning, post-surgery monitoring, and quiet companionship. I’m also happy to help with simple home tasks like watering plants and collecting mail. I am very calm and attentive. I pay close attention to details like appetite, water intake, mood, and energy, and I keep owners updated with messages and photos. I genuinely love this work, and I take reliability seriously. Your pet will be cared for with kindness, consistency, and real attention.

Ariane did a great job and persevered even though my cat has gotten a little spicy!
Ariane was dependable and came every day as expected while I was gone on vacation. She sent me updates and notes on my two cats and made me feel very comfortable with her being there to take care of them. She also sent plenty of pictures! In addition, she fed my fish and watered my plant. Would recommend her! Thank you, Ariane!

Ariane did such a wonderful job watching our cat, Winnie, while we were out of town for a wedding weekend! She was very flexible with scheduling, attentive to all of Winnie’s needs, and punctual with showing up each day and leaving detailed notes + photos. We felt very at ease knowing Winnie was in good hands. I’ll definitely be reaching out to Ariane next time we need a cat sitter! 😄

Schedule
I have a lot of flexibility, so I can provide walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship, making sure all the pets I care for get enough exercise, quiet time, and play time. My apartment includes a dog park. I love to take the dogs there so they can have more fun and burn energy. I am also very comfortable with longer walks, more frequent bathroom breaks, or extra cuddles. I can monitor pets closely, ensure they’re comfortable, and respond quickly if they need anything.

I follow instructions as given and pay close attention to every detail. I am a very calm person, so pets usually feel relaxed around me. My goal is simple them feel loved and safe, and owners feel confident leaving them in my care.

A typical day with me is relaxed and all about keeping pets happy and comfortable. Dogs get walks, strolls around the neighborhood, or trips to the dog park. We play a lot or just hang out and relax, depending on their mood. Cats and smaller pets get attention, playtime if they feel like it, and companionship. I like to keep routines consistent so the pet feels safe and less stressed when their family is away.
