Can I pet(sit) your dog?
I have two precious yorkies that I raised from puppies to their current ages of 4 and 7 years old. In college, my roommate had the silliest service dog in the world named Toby, and I have so many fond memories because of him. I have enjoyed caring for my coworker's two dogs and cat, as well as my neighbors' cat (who I took on leashed walks twice a day! :D) What makes me different is that I think animals are incredibly intelligent and I have a lot of respect for their needs. I think humans are very lucky to be able to have such accepting companions, and I try to treasure any animal I encounter out of gratitude. I am patient and in-tune with my pets' emotions to ensure their happiness and comfort.

Safety, trust & environment
At home, I am always cautious of the front door when it is open, as well as the visitors who enter through it—while of course dogs are known to be beyond friendly, I always look for signs of discomfort and distress in my dogs. On walks, I never take them off their leash and don't let them approach people unless they are okay with energetic animals. I also will firmly guard the boundaries of any animals I'm caring for if I determine they are uncomfortable, as I am their advocate—as such, I have no problems telling people who ask to approach to kindly give them space. At my client's home, I would ensure security systems are enabled and entryways are locked. I would be a little more cautious of potentially intruding on a new friend's space and would try my best to make their pet(s) comfortable with me as much as I can. I have a lot of energy to play with them, but am always ready to calm the situation down if the animals become rowdy. I am confident in my ability to watch over and protect any animal in my care. I would never compromise their safety.

Araiya was absolutely amazing! I think she cared for the dogs better than I do. She was extremely caring, accurate, communicative, and respectful. I could not have asked for a better person to take care of my two little dogs. If I ever need a dog sitter again, she would be at the top of my list.
Araiya watched my Saint, husky mix puppy and kitty for four days last month and did a phenomenal job! I got photos and videos randomly throughout the day of them enjoying the day with her. She also kept me updated on who was eating and who was being picky! I even found a little schedule after she left of who had decided to eat everything, who ate 1/2, who skip their breakfast and when ! I came home to well taken care of happy pets! They got lots of walks and lots of love! I am just sad that she is moving out of the area and I can’t use her anymore! But my pets are the saddest!
Araiya has two pets for herself who she is totally dedicated to. She also gravitates to any animals nearby and is very loving towards them. Araiya recently has been taking on additional responsibility when she was asked to take care of a relative's pet. This she did without hesitation and with complete dedication.

Schedule
I am a full-time state worker! I work 8-5, 2x a week in office (Thursdays and one other day of choice). That is to say—I would absolutely love to petsit and I have a lot of availability to do so.
