As a farm kid and animal lover, pet care is second nature. I showed livestock in high school and continue to train and handle dogs in AKC. I have thus established extensive experience with a wide range of intensive needs and emergency situations. I prioritize personalized, attentive, and loving care for my animals and I promise to uphold this standard for others. I look forward to working with you throughout my stay to provide updates and ensure the best care possible.

I know that a change in caretaker is a huge stress on an animal by itself. I will do everything I can to minimize any other stresses on the animals by maintaining their routines and environments. I also value consistent communication throughout the stay because owners are the foremost experts on their animals. From experience, I know how far an update and a picture from home can go to make a vacation more enjoyable.
Ratings and reviews
I emphasized during the meet & greet how important my dogs are to me and provided a clear schedule along with detailed written instructions. Despite this, several expectations were not met. I asked for daily updates but did not receive them. I received one set of photos during the five‑day stay and had to ask for updates. Treats were supposed to be used to keep the dogs happy, but they were given sparingly based on the amount leftover. One evening she returned at 1:15am, which I confirmed through our cameras. When asked, she acknowledged she hadn’t been giving the dogs enough attention and described her own behavior as unprofessional and disrespectful. I had to ask if she’d be able to dedicate additional time to the dogs on her last day. She left without providing a final update, and their water bowls were not refreshed prior to her departure. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend her for in‑home dog sitting. After reviewing the footage, I’m not confident she even likes dogs, and at times it felt like my pups were an inconvenience despite us paying for her services.

We love Arabelle. When we have her scheduled, we know we don't have to worry about our dogs all day. She's reliable and sweet and so good with our dogs. One of our dogs who is typically shy warms right up to Arabelle. She's a natural. We highly recommend her.
Arabelle was very kind! She was responsive and informative of everything that may have caused challenges or issues back home. She kept the house put together and the dogs seemed themselves when we got home from our vacation which sometimes is not the case. Thank you from all of us for a wonderful and responsible weekend from you!
Arabelle was reliable and caring in housesitting with our dog and cat while were away. We definitely plan to ask her again in the future!

Schedule
I am a Grinnell College student with a vehicle on campus. I am willing to check in on pets between classes as needed, in the evening, overnights, and on weekends.
