After recently closing a local business that I owned and operated for 15 years, I decided to pursue opportunities that allow me to spend more time doing something I genuinely enjoy—caring for animals. As a result, I have a flexible schedule and can often accommodate daytime visits, evening care, weekends, holidays, and last-minute requests when availability allows. I enjoy the opportunity to stay active, help fellow pet owners, and spend time with animals of all kinds. Pet care is not simply a way to fill my schedule; it's something I find rewarding and meaningful. I understand how important it is to find someone dependable to care for your pets, and I strive to provide the same level of care, communication, and reliability that I would want for my own fur, finned and scaled babies.

In a client's home, I work to maintain your pet's normal routine as closely as possible. I provide fresh food and water, walks or playtime as appropriate, litter box or habitat maintenance, medication administration when needed, and plenty of attention based on your pet's personality and comfort level. I also treat every home with the same respect and care I would expect in my own. I believe communication is important, so I provide regular updates and photos whenever possible to help you feel connected and reassured while you're away. Because of my experience caring for a wide variety of animals—including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, ferrets, reptiles, amphibians, and both freshwater and saltwater aquariums—I understand the importance of observation and recognizing when something may be out of the ordinary. I pay close attention to behavior, appetite, activity levels, and overall well-being so that concerns can be addressed promptly if they arise. My goal is simple: to provide a safe, dependable, and low-stress experience for both pets and their people, so you can enjoy your time away with confidence and peace of mind.

I had to travel unexpectedly and was scrambling to find someone I could trust to care for my cat, Jewel, while I was away. To make things even more stressful, Jewel was recovering from an illness and needed injections at specific times, meals on a strict schedule, and someone who would make sure her routine stayed consistent. Thankfully, April stepped in and completely put my mind at ease. She handled everything exactly as instructed, kept me updated, and treated Jewel like she was her own. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about Jewel’s well-being and wasn’t just stopping by to check a box and leave. When I got home, Jewel was happy, healthy, and on track with her recovery. Knowing she was in such capable and caring hands made all the difference in my sanity and stress levels I would absolutely recommend April to anyone looking for a pet sitter who is reliable, knowledgeable, and truly loves animals.
