Hi, I currently have a 6 year old black lab of my own, as well as three cats (13, 3, and 2 years old). I am familiar with anxiety in pets as well as elderly pets through caring for my own animals. One of my cats was a feral cat the first few months of his life so i am also familiar with their behavior. For walking visits i can go for walks and even help with training behavior if requested to learn not to pull, "leave it", "go potty" on command, not to react to other dogs, sit if i stop walking etc.. otherwise, a simple walk with a trusted human is always nice for dogs. As far as in home visits, i can come over and rub bellies, feed and water, play a bit, or just keep company depending on your animals needs because we all know they have their own unique personalities. I can also help with dog training if requested during stop in visits. I use the clicker training method and can teach you how to train your dog using that method or i can start the training and go from there. With any dog training it is important to note that it takes both time and consistency. Some commands come easier and others take more time. I would be happy to discuss more information. For reference, i have personally taught my dog to sit, lay down, potty on command, leave it, wait for a release word to go outside or get out of the car, jump on command, roll over, army crawl, get off furniture, get up on furniture, put front paws on my chest, turn in a circle, say hi by offering his paw, out (not allowed in kitchen for example), press a button to go outside, walk backwards, go get a toy and bring it to me, drink water, get in his crate, go lay down in his bed, stay, wait, find it (still working on this one but he knows the command just working on the actual finding it part lol), jump through a hoop, recall when off leash, not pulling on his leash, not jumping on people, not chewing on hands when he was a puppy, and we are currently working on desensitization for car rides (he hates car rides). I might have missed a few, but i wanted to provide ample examples of things i readily know how to train. I can also water plants and bring in mail for extended visits.
