Our home has a wonderful yard with shade and sun and lies across the pond from a state park with beach and woods trails. We usually take 1 to 2 walks a day depending on the time of year. Inside and yard play factor in depending on who visits. Many dog lovers visit our beach park so there will be other dogs to socialize with, too. If your dog is able to stay near by, there can be off leash running on the beach. Your dog will also of course have the run of the house. COVID update: We ask that our human clients be covid vaccinated. 90% of our bookings are travel related, and we do not wish to support unvaccinated travel.

We primarily take dogs than can do a prior meet and greet and a trial stay. If that isn't possible, please fill out as much info as possible and tell us about your dog. Pictures are vital! It tells me a lot about your dog and also makes it easier for me to remember you from among the many requests we get. Also: Does your dog get along with dogs of all breeds and sizes? Is your dog truly house trained, no marking behavior? Is your dog leash trained? Is your dog okay with a 3 foot fence? Is your dog vaccinated for rabies for our busy wildlife area? Please note: We are not taking large dogs 70 to 100 lbs at this time. Rover does not have the category of weights available to note this on their chart.

We are next to a State park and a county park that are both on the beach. These parks are leashed areas, with many miles of trails, both paved and natural. There is beach that is outside the county and state park area that is an off leash area to play. There is also a good network of neighborhood woods trails to walk if we need protection from wind. Your dog will sleep inside on one of our many pet beds. We are not comfortable with dogs that require sleeping in kennels and find that even dogs who are used to kennels at home adjust quickly to our open plan. One of us is home all day with your dog, minus errands. We find it easy for one of us to be home. Our daycare starts from 8 am to 5pm pick up. Overnight goes from 8 am to 12 noon pickup next day. Special drop off and pick up times can be arranged but the charge remains the same.

We had two wonderful dogs who were with us for 17 years. When they passed, we were bereft. Soon after that we found out that a neighbor of ours was working long days and needed help with his senior citizen lab during the week. So began North Beach Dog Care; a help to our clients and a happiness to us.

My dog took to April immediately. Pictures April sent showed him having a good time. I was impressed by the way he behaved when we picked him up. He happily greeted us but showed no signs of needing to leave right away. He was very calm on the way out.
April was fabulous with Heartly. She has a fenced yard and gradually introduced the dogs already there. Went on some lovely walks - fun photos. She was very accommodating to changes in our schedule. On the second day our puppers was excited to go to her house so she must have had a good first day! Came home tired both days ? Would absolutely use April again if needed.
