Pet care experience
Em-BARK-ing On New Adventures!
Hi! my name is April, I am new to Rover, as you can probably see. In my bio I am going to be as honest and sincere in this explanation of who I am and why you should choose me to care for your pet(s). I recently moved to North Brookfield and in doing so lost contact with a 9yr. old rescued Rottweiler who I loved and cared for. I would walk her, give her medication and feed her of course. I miss her presence. I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with the excess of free time that I have. This job opportunity seems like it will be the perfect fit. I have had many years of experience living with and caring for multiple breeds of dogs, including Rottweiler, Pitbull, Great Dane and numerous other breeds. I am an energetic woman who thrives on outdoor activities, I love exploring nearby parks, or strolling through neighborhoods I haven’t yet explored. My experience extends beyond dogs; I’ve also shared my home with cats, and I even had a wonderful rabbit who enjoyed our walks together. I recently completed a Red Cross certification in cat and dog, first aid, which enhances my ability to provide safe and responsible care for your pets. My deep fondness and connection with animals drives me to provide the best care possible, ensuring that every pet that I take care of receives the attention and exercise they deserve. If you are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic pet walker, who will treat your beloved animal like a best friend, I would love to connect!

Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I unfortunately cannot bring pets to my residence as I am renting a house right now. If you become my client, I will treat your home and your property with the utmost respect. I also have a vehicle large enough to accommodate most dogs and would be thrilled to take them to parks if that’s what works for all of us.
Ratings and reviews
April did a solid job with the practical side of the visit — she followed all our instructions closely and both dogs were clearly well cared for and safe during the drop-in. My only hesitation is that our Ring camera showed her seeming slightly irritated with one of our dogs, who is very outgoing and excited around new people. It wasn't anything that raised safety concerns, but it did give us pause about how well she meshes with high-energy, affectionate dogs specifically. Reliable and instruction-following, but might be a better match for calmer pups.

You take such great care of blue. I’m sure he really enjoyed that massage today. Thank you, April.

April was fantastic and very communicative. Our dogs were in great hands.

April is clearly a kind, caring person and dog lover. Blue loves her and she is very accommodating to us!

April is a fantastic walker with great dependability and communication!
Thanks April for doing a great job checking in on all five of our fur babies.

Schedule
I am currently studying for a new profession. My studies work around my schedule so caring for your pet, whenever you need me to is not an issue.
- Cats0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsApril can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
- I always want to know as much about your pet as possible. In our first meet and greet, I will ask you to tell me about their behavior with you, with strangers and with other animals. I would of course want to know if any situation is going to cause angst to your beloved pet, so I can avoid those situations at all costs. I’ll need to know if any medications are needed and how you normally deliver those, if there are any known allergies and where you keep an epi pen if so. I would like to know about their past if you are willing to share it. Of course I will obviously ask what makes them truly happy.. so I will ask about giving them treats because who doesn’t love to be acknowledged for good behavior or a job well done. I know I do!
