ABOUT ME: I grew up with multiple pets of various sizes and species (from a great Dane to newborn kittens and from turtles, tropical fish, a rat, a guinea pig, and even a skunk!. I continue to be a pet owner. At one time my husband and I were the proud owners of a blind cat who also had congestive heart failure. I have cared for neighbors' pets over the years, as well. I enjoy walking dogs for exercise, playing with pets, and caring for both dogs and cats. I am certified in Cat and Dog First Aid procedures by the American Red Cross Training Services. AVAILABILITY I am a retired teacher of students with special needs and am enjoying my flexible schedule now. I am available to pet sit most days of the week and times of the day and I am willing to do overnight stays in a clean, smoke-free environment. I will bring my own food with me for overnight stays. SERVICES: ALL of my services are provided within your home (neighborhood for walks). 1/2 hour and 1 hour drop-ins to feed, play, potty and clean up after your pet (within reason). Assessed as listed. 1/2 hour and 1 hour walks. Assessed as listed. Day Care: This is provided in your home and is charged at $20.00 for the first hour and $15.00 per each additional hour. Overnight stays: These typically run from early evening to mid-morning with one additional drop-in during the day as needed between other clients, appointments, and lunch and dinner meals. Assessed as listed. Additional drop-ins within the 24 hour period are assessed my drop-in fee. NOTE: Overnight stays ARE NOT 24 hour care. 24 hour care is charged at $200 per 24 hour period. Time beyond 24 hours is assessed at $15.00 per hour. Constant care may be considered for infirmed or severely anxious pets. ADDITIONAL FEES: Additional fees are assessed per additional animal within the same family at $5.00 per additional animal for all services except walks. Walking additional pets is an additional $10.00 per pet on the same walk as the first pet. Extra cleaning fees are assessed if the home environment requires more than 15 minutes of my time to make it a safe place for me and your animals. Cleaning fees are $25.00 per hour. Travel outside of my 4 mile radius will be assessed an additional fee based on mileage and the current gas prices and are charged per trip. Additional fees are applied for holiday bookings as listed in my rates.
