Your dog’s home away from home
I’ve been drawn to animals from a young age and have had a dog in my household since I was a child. Being around them and looking after them comes naturally to me! I started off my pet care journey as a dog walker in Amsterdam, then moved back to Australia and did pet sitting there and now I petsit in Canada. I have experience administering medication to senior dogs (both my family dog, Bella, and my foster dog, Pi, needed it) as well as handling unfixed dogs. When I got my own puppy, I taught him a lot of “party” tricks but I’m also familiar with certain force free training techniques to help dogs overcome their triggers and be calmer, especially in new environments. My top priority is giving your dog the love and attention they need whilst being away from their home environment and ensuring that their needs are met so that you can leave knowing they’re well cared for!

Our experience with Aparna has been just great : she has made great strides in socializing our dogs and being a "safe haven".....we plan on asking her to look after them as much as our budget allows.....

Aparna did an awesome job taking care of Lux while I was on vacation! She's very good with animals and Lux loved being with her. Kind, attentative and accommodating the need for her not to have other dogs around. Highly recommend her!

Aparna took excellent care of my dog. Honey went on a long off leash walk everyday and was given lots of time with enrichment toys. Honey loved hanging out with Aparna’s dog. I received many pictures and videos from Aparna. This was my first experience with Rover and it was a very positive experience. I definitely recommend Aparna as a pet sitter!
I cannot recommend Aparna enough! She took care of our dog Cooper for a weekend and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Throughout the weekend, she kept us updated with lots of pictures, videos and messages which gave us a lot of piece of mind knowing Cooper was doing great. Aparna took Cooper for walks, beaches and lots of play time. We came home to a happy pup who had a great time.

I work from home so I have a lot of flexibility when it comes to looking after dogs. Depending on you and your dog’s needs, I’m more than happy to adapt according to whatever schedule is preferable to them.

Whether I’m looking after your dog at mine or yours, they will always be treated with respect and love. Each dog has its own unique style of needing to feel loved and I make sure to attune to that so they come back to you as though you never left!

A day in the life looks like this: We wake up, go for a walk first thing in the morning so the dogs can relieve themselves and burn off the energy they’ve accumulated overnight. They have breakfast upon their return and have access to the balcony or do zoomies around our apartment. I include a lot of mental enrichment like snuffle or lick mats, trick training, hide and seek throughout the day to keep your dog entertained and happy. In the late afternoon we go for a second walk and then come home and have dinner. Lots of cuddles (if wanted) are freely handed out throughout the day too because it’s hard being away from home!
