Pet care experience
Having grown up with dogs of all ages, I'm used to looking after most needs that they have, including any medication they need, needed extra care on walks, following a routine or adapting to a lack of routine. Willing to get up in the night, or wake up early if its what they need.

When looking after animals in other peoples homes, I make sure I know as much as possible about the dog and their needs and where all their stuff is kept so I don't have to bother or worry the owner. Every dog is different and its important to be prepared for everything.

I need to know any medical issues they have, any quirks. What they like or dislike. How long they normally walk for and the route you'd normally take. How they react to other dogs and if we need to avoid them. Where everything necessary for the dog is kept
A typical day
It's good to know when dogs are ready for exercise, rather than taking them at the same time everyday. Most dogs are good with 2 or 3 walks a day, but you also have to stimulate them in the house, which you have to be a bit more careful and patient with them as it's an inclosed space.

As someone who works in hospitality, I'm normally free at odd hours, when most people would be working or busy, to help with dog walking or pet sitting.
