Loving & reliable dog care
While I am new to Rover and professional dog sitting experience, I have lots of hands on experience caring for dogs through both my own doggie - Roo (Jackahuahua) - and looking after dogs and cats for the families I babysit for. I often have responsibility and primary care of Roo whenever my parents go away on holiday, we love to go on long walks through forests and beaches (especially the places where it’s quiet and she can run free!) I always make sure Roo is fed, watered and comfortable to ensure all those good doggie cuddles, and to make sure she’s well looked after too, of course! Through years of babysitting experience, I have had to take care of both children and pets in the families’ homes. This can be tough, but very rewarding as I learned how important patience, attentiveness and staying organised in a busy environment like these can be. I am confident handling different routines, learning the needs of different pets and making sure pets always feel safe, calm and comfortable in my care

When caring for pets, I always focus on making them feel as comfortable and safe as possible by sticking closely to their usual routine. I try and figure out their personalities and work with them instead of trying to get them to act a certain way, if they want space, they’ll get space but if they need attention they’ll get my attention. The pet’s needs are my biggest priority. In a pet owner’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully, including feeding, walks and any specific needs. In my own home, I provide a clean, safe and calm environment where pets can relax, play and feel at home. I make sure that pets get plenty of attention, exercise and companionship and I’m always attentive to behaviour and wellbeing. I am also very happy to provide regular updates and photos, so owners feel reassured when they’re away

Aoibheann was the first person we’ve left our pup with so we were a bit nervous at first, but Aoibheann sent us lots of pictures and reassured us throughout the stay. Peanut came back a very happy boy!
Aoibheann is a kind, organised and energetic person who loves people and animals. Growing up, she looked after her own dog with great care, taking her for walks, feeding her, playing with her & generally enriching her life. Aoibheann would make a very trustworthy pet sitter/walker.

Schedule
Pet care fits well into my routine, especially on weekends when I am fully available for dog sitting, longer walks and giving your pet plenty of attention. During the week I work Mon-Fri 9-5 but would definitely be available during the evenings for evening walks or drop-in visits depending on location (especially with the brighter weather coming our way!). I always make sure any pets in my care gets my full attention, time and consistency
