A pal and a care giver
Over the past ten years or so I've effectively been the person everyone in my life has trusted to look after their pets whenever the need arises, and on my end, there's never a question as to whether or not I would, Dogs of all sizes, cats of various temperaments, and even a squirrel in one instances, I'm always happy to look after them. I love all forms of life, seeing pets more as furry, four legged people than something lesser. It seems like my fondness for and attitude towards the numerous animals I've interacted with throughout my life evokes a positive response and a sense of security, as even the more guarded personalities tend to settle fairly easily in my presence.

I find out the what the familiar routine of each pet is and then try to maintain that as best I can while looking out for them. Consistency in routine helps to alleviate the uncertainty of their owner being gone. Beyond that, I keep them involved in my moment to moment activities, talking to them and petting them aplently, and simply paying close attention to their mannerisms and expressions to find what they might need.

Aodhan was professional and considerate of my home while taking excellent care of my dog. He was thoughtful in checking in before his visit and followed up after leaving, which I really appreciated. He also provided a few updates throughout the day. My dog seemed happy, calm, and well cared for. Highly recommend, and I would definitely book with him again.
Our dog loved Aodhan at first site! He did a great job taking care of our pup and two cats. He is very friendly and warm and clearly loves animals. This was our first time using Rover, but we had no hesitations after meeting Aodhan.

Our Mitsy is a rescue dog who was very nervous around new people coming into her space. With Aodhan's calm manner and extra attention to Mitsy he soon had her playful and happy.

Schedule
I'm currently working part time doing landscaping for a few different clients, so my availability is dependant upon the day of the week. Mondays and Fridays are fully flexible, as I set my own hours for those days, Tuesdays and Thursdays I'm available from 4pm on, and Wednesdays are evenings only, 6pm on. Weekends are totally free. If you happen to live in the Esquimalt area, I can do earlier morning drop ins.

- I only ask to be informed of any particular preferences or quarks unique to your dog so I can account for it in our interactions. Are there certain ways they like to be pet? Situations that might make them anxious? Dietary restrictions? Aggressive tendencies? Specific signs of distress?
