A typical day
A typical day caring for pets would include making sure they’re fed, comfortable and have fresh water, followed by activities suited to their needs like walks, fetch or training games for dogs; interactive toys and cuddle time for cats or safe playtime and gentle handling for smaller pets. I enjoy mixing exercise, play and quiet companionship so each pet feels happy, stimulated and secure throughout the day.

Hi everyone! I’m Anya and I absolutely love animals. I have experience as a Military Working Dog handler which means I’ve worked with lots of different breeds, temperaments and needs. I’m also about to start a part-time role as an Animal Care Assistant with the RSPCA which will give me even more hands on experience. I adore spending time with animals whether it’s walks, playtime or cuddles and I always make sure every pet feels safe, happy and loved. I treat them like my own and love getting to know all their little quirks and personalities.

I’m really pleased with the care Anya provided while I was away. She looked after my cats and chickens wonderfully and gave me great peace of mind. She went above and beyond — even removing ticks from my cat — and I came home to a clean and tidy house, which was a lovely bonus. We booked Anya through Rover to look after our 2 dogs whilst we went away for a few days and couldn’t have been happier. She came to meet the dogs beforehand and bonded with them straight away. She was very responsive throughout our trip and was incredibly accommodating staying a few extra hours when our return got delayed. We came back to a spotless house and two very content pets who were clearly missing her afterwards! We’d be more than happy to recommend her to others.
