I work remotely full-time, which means I’m at home throughout the day and can provide plenty of companionship, supervision and attention. All I need to work is an internet connection and a space for my laptop, and I rarely have more than 1 meeting a day. I also have a car for getting around and emergencies. Pets in my care are never left alone for extended periods, and I can easily adapt to their usual routines, whether that means regular walks, play sessions, medical needs, or simply having a calm and reassuring presence nearby.

My partner and I live in a 2 story semi- detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac in Dundee. We have a secure fully fenced garden with a lawn behind the house. We are fortunate to have football fields and beautiful walking routes nearby- such as the Dighty Burn, providing plenty of opportunities for exercise and enrichment. We also own a camper van and love to travel further afield with it at the weekends, and get out on bigger walks, rides and hikes further north.

Let me know if your pet has any specific care routines or preferences that I should be aware of before I take care of them please! I have taken care of large and small animals but I am 5”4 so if your animal is large I would prefer it if they were well trained not to jump up or pull too hard on a lead. Since I need to work remotely, I would rather take care of animals able to be calm and quiet most of the time!
A typical day
On a weekday I can provide quick toilet and play breaks throughout the day as I work from my laptop. We can go on a longer walk/ run together at lunchtime for up to an hour along the nearby Dighty burn, or for a game of fetch in the nearby football fields. At the weekends, my partner and I like to get further away in our camper van, we can go for hikes, trail runs, swims and cycles in the highlands and would happily have an adventure loving pet with us!

Pet care experience
I have previous experience dog walking and pet sitting through BorrowMyDoggy app, as well as volunteering for Paws of Kalymnos in Greece, where I helped care for rescue dogs by feeding, cleaning and playing with them. Although I would love to have pets of my own, my partner and I travel regularly, so pet sitting has become a wonderful way for me to spend time with animals, while helping owners feels confident that their pets are receiving excellent care.

I’ve left my dog with this friend many times now, and every single time I come back to a happy, relaxed pup who’s clearly been loved just as much as at home. She doesn’t just “watch” my dog — she treats her exactly like her own. Whether it’s extra walks, favourite treats, plenty of playtime, or all the cuddles she could want, nothing is too much trouble. Knowing my dog is safe, happy, and well cared for takes all the worry out of being away. My dog gets so excited every time he realises he is staying there, and I honestly couldn’t recommend her enough. If you want someone reliable, kind, and totally devoted to your pet, she’s the one.
I met Slava on a Greek island. My dog, Ben, was staying with me at home, but I was working long hours. Then Slava offered to petsit and keep him company. I genuinely accepted her offer, since she seemed a warm and joyful person, full of love for anything furry. 😅 Ben was a little suspicious at first but he always is. After the first treat and walk he lost all disbelief... They went for walks together and Slava was very kind to text me regularly, in order to reassure me. She made a comfortable dog bed for him, as this dog loves the human comfort... Ben needs to have his boundaries respected. Otherwise he can even get aggressive. Slava respected him from the first minute and they went along really well as his body language indicated when meeting with her, day after day. She has a genuine love for animals, taking care not only my dog but also stray cats on the island for as long as she was there. Pet sitting seems to be not just a job for her but a love expression and this is one of her most important traits.
Slava sat for my border terrier mix Maisie for half a day, and Maisie could not have been happier. Lots of affection and attentiveness to Maisie's needs, I would very happily use her services again.
