Pet care experience

WFH + Rescue Dog Guardian

I've taken care of dogs of all breeds and ages for the past few years (especially with rescues and fosters with organizations like SF SPCA & Family Dog Rescue in the Bay). Would love to help with your pup - whether it be snuggles, meds, or walks! My partner and I both currently WFH, so there's always someone around. Our pup recently passed away, but we have his schedule imprinted on us (3 walks a day + meals 2x/day). I have a fenced yard to let pups out for a safe mid-day romp & live near a few parks for fun walking destinations. For previous house-sitting stays, I've always treated the home like my own (neat & tidy) and obeyed house rules. Just happy to read a book/watch a movie on the couch and snuggle with pup.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

We treat all pets as if they're our own! Please let us know ahead of time if there are any behaviors, triggers (i.e. big dogs, loud sounds, skateboards), or allergies. We're happy to follow your rules in our home or yours (no couch, crate (or not!), etc. Outside of a trusted, fenced environment – your dog will always be safely leashed and with us at all times.

Annie did such a wonderful job caring for our pup, Chip! She was very kind and attentive, keeping us updated throughout the day with photos and videos. Chip was so happy to spend time with her and we felt confident with Chip in her care for the day. Thank you, Annie!! :)

Annie was great! She sent us pictures everyday that helped us know Heinz was being taken care of, and always made us happy since we missed him while we were away. Heinz is a very nervous dog and takes awhile to warm up to people, but after about a day, he was asking Annie for belly rubs, a sign he fully trusts someone. We would be very lucky to have Annie watch Heinz again.

Annie was the best cat sitter I’ve ever had!!! I know she’s an amazing person because my incredibly shy elder cat who never likes anyone immediately took to her. That is so rare for my cat and just shows the special connection Annie has with animals. My cat and apartment were kept in such good care—i will go to Annie first ANYTIME I am out of town. She was so communicative from the get go and incredibly flexible when my plans changed. I truly cannot recommend her enough.

Antonia was amazing with our nervous rescue boy! She arrived on time and made sure he was comfortable before we left them for the weekend. I LOVE that she sent us a bunch of pictures and updates about how he was doing. Highly recommend & can't wait to book with her again.

Annie did a phenomenal job dogsitting our 4-month old puppy! We needed a sitter at the last minute, and she saved us when we were in a tough spot. Annie gave us lots of updates and pictures throughout the day. I felt so confident leaving Chip in her care and look forward to working with her again soon!!

Schedule

I currently work remote and share my home with a partner who also works remote. We have fairly routine schedules where we have an early morning walk (~8-9AM), breakfast, midday walk depending on meetings, an after work walk (~5-6PM), and then dinner.

Please let me know if your dog has any health concerns, separation anxiety, or specific needs. Along with whether they're house-trained or not. I'm happy to help administer any oral medication with wet food or pill pockets. Would also like to understand their eating times/amount of times they need to go out/general schedule, etc :)
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
