Attentive, experienced pet sitter
Hello, I’m Anthony (Tony). I have cared for and am comfortable with dogs of many sizes and ages, including Chihuahuas to Great Danes. I have owned and cared for 3 Doberman Pinchers in my life, and fostered a few other dogs. I’ve been called a “dog whisperer” due to my ability to bond with dogs that otherwise are not friendly with new people or men. From 2014 to 2016, I founded and led a student organization to regularly volunteer at a large Houston-area animal shelter. I have 200+ hours of experience working with shelter dogs including aggressive, skittish, or troubled dogs. I have limited experience with cats, but enjoy them as much as I enjoy dogs.

We had another positive experience with Tony! He did an overnight with our two beagles and it went without a hitch. He continues to do great with Blake and Frannie and has definitely earned their trust. Look forward to working with him again.

Had a great experience with Anthony, and our two rambunctious beagles took a quick liking to him as well. He was very communicative and offered to meet the dogs beforehand over Zoom (we had been out of the city). He asked great questions both before, during and after the stay. We felt completely at ease with him in our home and taking care of our dogs. Will definitely reach out to Anthony again and would encourage others to do the same!
Calendar and availability
Schedule
Typically, I am available for drop-ins/walks in the early mornings, late afternoon and evenings, and overnight sitting. Since I’m a PhD student, I have a flexible but sporadic schedule, so it is best to book with me 3+ days in advance.
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
I am up-to-date on COVID and flu vaccinations. I am an extremely clean and tidy person, so while housesitting I will be sure to keep a safe and clean environment for your pet. I am flexible with overnight accommodations at your home. As for walking your pet, I exercise caution to ensure there is minimal interaction between your pet and other animals, people, cars, bikes, etc. along the path.
A typical day
I am happy to entertain your pet following any particular suggestions or preferences you may have. Otherwise, I will ensure they get plenty of petting, walks, play with toys, and cuddles (if they are comfortable with them).
